Of course Utah is a good team, that doesn’t excuse Oregon getting beat down twice by them.

Which I know none of yall would ever dare blaspheme like that, so yall can’t hype up Mario like yall do & then make excuses for every time his team got their asses kicked, don’t work like that.

Utah is a very good team & Oregon got the sh*t beat out of’em every time they played them this season, so Utah was clearly better than Oregon. Doesn’t mean Mario is not a good coach too, two things can be true at the same time.

That guy’s probably a better X and O’s guy. Like you and others said - Mario needs to make great Coordinator hires. He’s a great recruiter.

How did Utah lose 3 games

They lost to BYU, San Diego St & Oregon St this year.

Earlier in the year they were starting Charlie Brewer because Cameron Rising was still recovering from his shoulder injury, so the BYU loss he didn’t play in & the SD St loss he came in after Brewer got benched, the Oregon St loss he started but Utah at that time just wasn’t good enough on the road vs Oregon St.

But their style of play is built for late in the season, they’re a team that usually doesn’t get going until November/December, they always have early season losses.

Power run teams always take until half the season before their offense really kicks in & they can impose their will on teams in the winter time & start winning big games.

Yeah, esp talent ID. Like Covey who returned for the TD, a 3-star recruit.
There also has to be some benefit to having a team that's not filled with primadonna 5-stars. Guys who are willing to buy into the team concept better and give consistent effort even when the stage isn't big.
