Gaby put this list together....

• Jerry Palm, CBS Sports: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. Utah

• Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. USC

• Brett McMurphy, Action Network: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) vs. Oregon State

• Mark Schlabach, ESPN: Military Bowl (Dec. 27) Miami vs. Memphis

• Kyle Bonagura, ESPN: Military Bowl (Dec. 27) Miami vs. SMU

• Stewart Mandel, The Athletic: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. Oregon State

• Bill Bender, Sporting News: Holiday Bowl (Dec. 28) Miami vs. UCLA

• Steven Lassan, Athlon Sports: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. USC

• Nick Bromberg, Yahoo! Sports: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. UCLA

• Erick Smith, USA Today: Sun Bowl (Dec. 29) Miami vs. Oregon State

• Bleacher Report: Pinstripe Bowl (Dec. 28) Miami vs. Rutgers

Most of the projections above have the Hurricanes playing in the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas on December 29th. That game would feature an opponent from the Pac-12.

Of these options... ANYTHING but the military bowl. Would be terrible for us to play a G5 team.

I think we are going to be among the hardest hit teams in the country as it relates to loss of contributors from the end of the season until the bowl. **** we might not even have a scholarship QB available. That being the case, if we are going to lose I would really prefer it isn't to a G5 team, please no military bowl.

... yeah and no Pinstripe Bowl against Schiano and Rutgers while we're at it.

El Paso and a brand-worthy Pac-12 opponent will suffice for this season.

Especially one with a porous defense and a quarterback sitting out the postseason.

Gave away a game to GT: would be nice to steal one back as 8-5 sounds a lot better than 7-6.

I would think that some of the portal guys would want some additional tape. I suppose the risk of injury is too high in a meaningless Bowl Game like Tony the Tiger's Gulf Cartel Bowl.

No to SMU or Memphis.

I’d rather play SMU without Stone between the 2 but ****. No more G5 losses right now.

I’ll take USC, UCLA, or Utah. Maybe coachless Oregon State. Don’t think any of them scare me right now. They either wouldn’t shred us or we can score on them even without a QB that can throw the ball.

Utah bodying Mario’s Oregon teams the last couple times absolutely scares me

You aren’t a true Miami Head Coach if you don’t play in the Sun Bowl!

I'd prefer a softer opponent than any of those, but out of those teams, I prefer USC. The one I'd least want is Utah because that coach/team has Mario's number and we are desperate for a bowl win.

I'd take USC as well.
Give me that 35-31 type game all day..

Utah beat Mario with Anthony Brown at QB, but was 2-1 vs Utah prior to '21 with two 20+ wins and a 7 point loss.
To your point though, with JB @ QB, that game has 16-13 written all over it.
No bueno.

Not sure of the rotation this year of the bowls in the slots we are in but remember that where Miami goes is not a function of where we replaced it’s the ball teams get to pick who they want after the first two regardless of place and order in the league. I have heard rumblings of the holiday bowl with USC being something that is being traded in the background because it would help fill seats better admittedly, with USC fans though
