Fellas,
Anyone know the schedule for practices for the bowl game? We only have 2 weeks left before game time. I see Whisky has been on the field, but not us. I know the team needed rest, but shiit, let's get going! I thought I read in some other article that CMR has not even had time to game plan with all the other coaches due to the heavy recruiting. This all has me a little concerned about how prepared we will be. We need to get those pads popping, baby!
Anyone have info?

You seem to have the inside info.

Pretty sure the team started practicing last night. Also you have a limited number of practices. I am sure the players have been spending plenty of time with S&C coaches and running stuff themselves. Organized practices are limited though.

I think I read we're not even going to practice or gameplan at all. We're just gonna show up and see what happens

I heard they’d found an old EA Sports Cartridge and was gonna use that to gameplan to save the players legs and not risk injuries.

Per 24/7: Miami's first practice will be Sunday night on its campus. They will continue to practice at UM throughout the week until reporting at its bowl hotel on Dec. 25.

The Hurricanes will then practice at Nova Southeastern University beginning on Dec. 26 for the week leading up to the game.

Miami will have a total of seven practices and two walk-throughs in preparation for the game, which is scheduled to kick-off at 8 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

7 total practices? What happened to that whole thing about bowl games being so important because of the additional 15 practices?

Misconception about limited # of bowl practices. We could have started practicing a week ago if we wanted to.

One of the greatest benefits of earning a trip to a bowl game is the additional practices afforded to a team. And contrary to popular belief, bowl practices aren't capped at 15.

"(It's) a common misconception that's been around for years," NCAA spokesman Christopher Radford said. "There is no specific limit on the number of practices a team may hold while preparing for a bowl game, but standard NCAA rules apply for participation in practice or other athletically related activities. Same as the regular season, these rules limit practice and other athletic activities to a maximum of four hours per day and 20 hours per week."

Wisconsin first bowl practice was December 8th.

Don't know, homie. Just reporting the news.

I think those boys needed the rest way more than they needed to prepare for Wisky. They played 11 weeks straight, including a conference championship. Wisky doesn't have a complex offense. They're going to need every bit of the energy to stop the run, and can't do that if you run your players into the ground.

I think the phrase about the number of practices relates to them on-site. There are more than seven days between this past Sunday and December 25. So they have those plus the others. It's good they don't leave until December 25 so Santa will know where to leave the presents.

Typing the above out.

Date of Arrival: Monday, December 25th
Date of Game: Saturday, December 30th
Time of Game: 8:00 PM
Date of Departure: Sunday, December 31st

We will practice on campus for the Orange Bowl from December 17-22, prior to our travel date. School is in session until December 20th. You will be released to go home for a short Christmas break Friday, December 22nd at 12 noon and will have to be back on campus for a 7:00 PM team meeting on Monday, December 25th (Christmas Day). Per NCAA rules, you will be responsible for your own travel leaving campus but we are allowed to fly you from your home to Miami on December 25th. In preparation for tomorrow's 8:30 am Team Meeting.

The bulleted stuff is for players and about their potential travel during their break.

So they took two weeks off after Clemson. That sounds fine to me.
