I think we're all getting too crazy and looking into everything too much. Matt Porter recently speculated about us paying 3 mil, it wasn't a leak. Barry Jackson said his sources said 4 mil and that's all we've heard. Everyone else is like Matt and just speculating based off the past two hires.

Just look at the tense of the verbs in your post. You thought Narduzzi is still a DC and that he's still making around a million a year as a DC and that Butch might be interested in bringing him here.

If the HC is indeed Butch perhaps KF is vetting Butch's proposed staff. No more John Blake types. Butch claimed he didn't know what Blake was up to with the sports agency angle. KF will make sure there are no skeletons in any closets.

Just a thought.

I'm sure candidates will be dying to come here once Blake James tells them they will not have full control of their staff. Maybe if we hire Mario that happens, otherwise there's no shot.

I'm not saying that UM will select coordinators and position coaches.

I'm saying the HC that's GOING to be hired - has already met with key members of the board, and when asked about his coordinator and position coaches, told them his preferences.

THEN, rather than make a contact mistake - this Kornhole outfit can make contacts with the PREFERRED coordinators/position coaches, to get a feel for their interest at a certain salary offer.

Everyone it seems is under contract currently - either with teams or with ESPN. Contacting coaches is a sticky proposition - which is why Kornhole was called in the first place - to work around those limitations.

Maybe HC contacts are not the only contacts they're making. Maybe some really hot **** coordinators as well.
