Assuming we’re not -3 or worse in TO margin, this game should be decided by our run game. We just need Kosi to hit enough 1st down strikes to keep them honest, and our run game “should” take over the game by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Of course, “should” often gets replaced by “could have” in these rivalry games.

Needs to be balanced, FSU statistically is much better in the run game vs defending the pass so we need to attack their weaknesses for sure.

It can’t be how we did vs North Carolina especially in that 3rd quarter. We can’t give FSU any momentum by playing conservative on offense. Richt admitted he got too conservative in the 3rd quarter and shouldn’t have done that. After seeing how Louisville got beat after leading hope that makes him aware he can’t do that this game and I’m sure that caught his attention.

To me, "balance" doesn't necessarily mean running the same number of run plays as pass plays. I think we need to be balanced WITHIN the run game - balancing inside/outside zone as well as judicious use of RPO and keepers. I'd like to see us run the ball 30ish times, with 'Kosi keping it maybe 5 of those times - just enough to keep the D off-balance.

FSU beat Louisville because of how bad Louisville is. Not because they are great. Had to come from behind to beat a 1 win FCS team. Beat a 2 win non power five school. Got destroyed by only 2 teams with half a pulse they have played. We should beat them with scrubs on the field in 4th quarter. If not we did it to ourselves and not because the are remotely close to being good

I’d like to see Kosi take the RPO pass option route on most RPO plays. The WR in the flat is always open for at least 5 yards if not 20 with one missed tackle. Easy pitch and catch for Kosi.

Willie Wonka says they're simplifying their DB schemes as they've been too complicated.

Perry hits just enough passes to the TEs and downfield to open the run game. ****, we might have a run game before he hits some shots.

I see Jordan having a HUGE game, and Mallory getting a couple big catches as well.

Perry needs to protect the ball, TO's are the only way, IMO, FSU can beat us. We have the ability with our defense playing like it is to crush them, unless we get sloppy and make dumb mistakes.
I'm not gonna lie I'm looking a little sideways at a coupla' guys who earned flags vs UNC for dumb ****, we can't afford that this week.
LY the game was wrapped up and our defense made Blackman look like an AA on his last drive for a TD.

They run a lot of the same thing as Pitt. Harlun was at M State last year. Usually good against the run, but they will have to trust DB's in one on ones, and from the accuracy I have seen from Perry. I say good luck. He will snipe them. When they adjust to it I hope we use Choc as a lead blocker for more plays than not when we want to run. Give him the rock too. He needs to see the field a lot against a defense like this imo. Perfect time for a fullback effect to open up running lanes for Homer and Dallas. Use the Full back this week!

FSU does a terrible job of setting the edge, and their DE's are light in the pants. Virginia Tech was having a lot of success running on the edges, I would expect us to do the same.

FSU's DB's are some of the worst I've seen in college football this year, so I expect us to air it out quite a bit too.

We will have open receivers all over the field. This game will come down to Perry’s ability to be accurate under pressure and not folding up after taking a few vicious hits.

If our QB can hit receivers and give us some chunk plays we should whip them. If he can’t it’ll be another final possession game.

Perry’s ability to do it in a vile rivalry game against a team full of good fast athletes coming in with a chip on their shoulders is our biggest question mark coming in. Guys will pound the OL **** because that’s what everyone does. But this is a QB game.

Yep. The only play they can defend is run up the gut
