If you actually went to a home game, you would know that James is at every game. And the BOT runs the UNIVERSITY, not the athletic department, even in our heyday, they didnt attend games.

The BOT are a group of ***** who, along with Shalala, micro-manage the athletic department. They are the reason for the following:

1. Coker's Second Extension,

2. RS Hiring,

3. RS Extension,

4. Golden Hiring, and

5. Golden Extension

They also are the reason we have a retarded puppet at AD. They LOVE to show their incompetence and cheapness. They may never go to games but they sure left their impact on athletics.
 
I had an extended conversation with Paul DiMare after a Canes basketball game back in January. I explained to him that, as an alum, I am frustrated with Golden and his coaching staff, and that I didn't believe he was the right fit at all. I told him that we have the talent to be elite, but that coaching was clearly holding us back.

He was ADAMANT that Golden would turn it around (as I looked down and kept shaking my head). I wanted to come across as respectful, even though I was ******* fuming inside by his answers. He told me that some of the defensive coaches had to go, and that it was on Golden to make that change. He also mentioned that even though people have mentioned Butch, Miami is under such a big microscope from the NCAA that it would be tough to make that move. He mentioned the "microscope" Miami was under several times (exaggerated it way too much).

He didn't give me an opportunity to respond much. Delusional is one way I'd describe his obsession with Miami's image, the "burden" Golden was under by the cloud, and his general disregard for how much talent we actually have.

I'm glad we had a banner call the BoT out by name this past Saturday...these dudes need a reality check.
 
Most BOTs do not run organizations. They set strategic direction and get involved only in extremely significant decisions.

It's the President's job to make operational decisions. The BOT will sign off on what the President's office decides.

Dud!!! That 's what they are. If the President pushes for it, the BOT will go along.

You guys are wrong about the BOT, they are the vast majority of the donors who have given $100 million for athletic facilities over the last 15 years.

Depends how you take it. If you live in California, you're not going to know he's at every game. If you're there, you'd have to be blind not to see him on the field 15 times a game.
