my point is moves should have been made last year and its even more obvious now that they should have been made
how do you end on a three game losing streak with the qb playing like garbage make no moves and think that things will be different the next year with the exact same qb

You are correct. He was essentially forced to fire Mike Bobo as OC. Richt has a deep loyalty to his assistants, to the detriment of his own team.

I was hoping somebody jumped on this. We ran Cover 2 man and blitzed Morgan up the middle who got there a step too late. Rumph was on an island and no way on the planet Reed gets there in time. Thompson took a 3 step drop and put a perfect ball to Fields getting nailed by Morgan. Urban legend blames Reed. Yeah, he was late but it was a **** of a lot field to cover. Schiano was extremely aggressive. If we convert and 4th and 2 we win by the way and Penn State never gets the ball

Diaz didn't leave the middle of the field open. He ran a single high safety with man coverage. Jennings blew his assignment and gave up his responsibility and took himself out of the play. And then Knowles took an extremely poor angle. Jennings is not a scrub. Sophomore linebacker made a mistake and it costed us. He will be a very good linebacker and eventually start for us. The Knowles experiment should be just about over. He may have improved on Greentree but if there is an explosive play that Miami gives up I always look for 20. Hate to dump on the kid but well it is true.

Wouldn't matter if he hired Lincoln Riley as long as Richt keeps trotting Rosier out there
 
I do not think our staff top to bottom is very strong. we seem to be poor at player development as well as in game adjustments and having them ready for anything they might encounter on game day.
question, will Miami invest resources to have a topnotch staff? i used to buy $$$ was an issue but
think football adds an an awful lot to bottom line of school

It's not really a testament to Butch, but rather the general approach. In this case, Butch was proactive. He saw the weak point on the staff and decided to make a change (which resulted in an upgrade).

I'm ****ed off at Richt given nepotism (with kid on staff), and favortism (making Golden-like excuses for Malik). But if he makes wholesale changes on both sides of the ball recognizing that in year 3, this will not get us to the next level, then I'm good with it. If he tries to make this staff work, it proves my current thought process that he won't achieve what is the actual expectations of this program; not just surpassing what Golden "accomplished", but actually winning championships.

Addidas is shelling money out to Miami. Miami gave pay upgrades to Kul (before he went to Bama), Dungans, and Hartley.

My hope is is that Diaz gets a HC position and takes Banda and Patchke with him quite honestly.

Might better research that statement because Mike Bobo was never fired in fact he left georgia to go be the head coach at colorado state. Geez if you are going to opine at least do a little bit of research before just spewing garbage all over the board.

Now Willie Martinez is one that most georgia fans thought CMR would never give the boot.

You also have to realize unlike k shart CMR was never given an open purse with which to compete against those that the administration/big donors/delusional fans thought that he should be able to even though he had a shoestring budget in comparison. Just think if they have increase his budget from the $14M that it was when he was forced out to the now $32M that they have given the new guy. Heck he would have been able to do alot more and able to compete and succed in the arms race of recruiting top talent even more so than he already did without the proper support.

I have to beg to differ here.
Morgan blitzed because they went max protect and the running back shifted left giving Morgan an open lane. Which wasn't a bad read on his part as he almost got to the QB. However Reed's drop was too shallow and he was not able to recover in time. Reed loved to read the QB and became quite good at it, but he got caught creeping there. He even said so during an interview that he learned from that one play and became the safety he would become because of it.

The 50 yard run play you are correct that Jennings is the main culprit as he overpursued outside, the Mike got foolishly chopped down by the right guard, and Knowles sucks. But we telegraphed the blitz and the QB audibled into the inside zone with the entire o-line shifting left away from the blitz. Diaz has to coach the team to check out of plays when necessary. If the blitzer would have backed out we'd have one extra body than they could block to hopefully make the tackle.

The plan was to make the move at some point last year. Probably similar to what happened in 1999 with Dorsey, but we started winning and the coaches were able to hide his weaknesses. Bringing in the freshman would have been giving up on last season and from all reports Perry wasn't ready. At Pitt we Rosier just didn't show up, but we also had a ton of injuries last season including our three best offensive weapons at the end of the season. Going into this past game with a guy that had never taken a snap against an SEC defense would have been even more disastrous than what we saw Rosier isn't the answer, that's obvious. The problem is you all want to believe that somehow Richt doesn't know something that the armchair quarterbacks on this site do. If Richt is playing its because he gives us the best chance to win. It's a scary thought but it's reality. There's no reason to not go with the best option.

I was standing on the sideline the entire game......The real killer wasn't the TD pass.....It was the Refs not giving James Jackson the 1st down (made it by a yd) before the TD pass that would have ended the game.
