Texas ain't won **** and have been worse than Miami and they just got broke off

Different scenario; Texas Merchandise sales trump all other schools. Don't know y, but folks love that burnt orange...and that was a sales move.

Stats are very misleading; Adidas is a Euro company, the largest company in Euro. Fútbol has paid them handsomely. I don't give a F about Fútbol. As far as boots and uniforms, Adidas smashes Nike. Adidas sales in the U.S. on the other hand has dropped behind UA, and Skechers. They bled money with the NFL, and NBA...and thank God for the Yeezy's or they would have 0 footing in the U.S. Adidas is known for fashion and Fútbol knits...
Take Miami off the front, give us better fan wear, and take off the freakin' feathers, and we would have clean uniforms and fans wouldn't be still complaining about the switch.

And just a FYI, b/c Adidas is a Fútbol company that's trying to dabble into U.S sports, if we don't start making the $ on the merchandise side, they'll start getting real lazy with us. Michigan merchandise sales took a major hit when they switched from Adidas and that red carpet treatment that they got slowly started fading. You look at our games and most folks r still rocking Nike jerseys. Our Players are still rocking Nike gear in several photo ops. Just saying.

I will never understand why fans give a **** about a Nike, Adidas, UA, Reebok, etc. Its one of the most beta things I see on this board...

Almost as beta as using the term "beta".

You the type of **** to wear a dirty white tee to the club

Whoa. Didnt mean to strike a nerve. Sorry for offending the women.

Thanks for the tidbit, OP. Makes some sense, though Nike will be waiting for quite awhile given the length of our contract with Adidas.

But I ain't mad.

Love or hate their merchandise, Adidas has made us a top priority, which is a breath of fresh air. We got more $$, new threads, and more attention. Not to mention that Adidas as a brand is on the rise. They're making some impressive moves in both merch and marketing, IMHO.

Even if Adidas ends up being a decade-long side chick, she's here at the right time.

Too old to understand the issue other than go with who pays the most. I do believe we need a new design that is more hip, that separates us from all these hick schools and reflects Miami/SoFL style and culture. Other than the helmet, when you see the uniform you know it's Miami.

When the Adidas contract is up, Nike will get a chance to get Miami back. If they don't pony up the cash, they can E.A.D. I care about which apparel company is willing to pump the most money into Miami's athletic department. Everything else is secondary.

The comparisons to the Steph Curry shoe deal are similar. Nike, being the biggest name in US athletic apparel, thought they could just casually low-ball a potentially huge client. In steps Adidas/Under Armor, and the Nike offer gets shoved off the table.

Also, people love to complain that the numbers on the Adidas uniforms aren't stitched on. They also claim to love the 2001 unis best. Take a good look at Ed Reed's jersey.

If they don't care enough to have those chinese sweatshop workers sew the numbers on, then I don't care enough to watch the team.
