BOLO ALERT! MIAMI’S OFFENSIVE LINE!!

Again, run game was absolutely underwhelming. Pass pro was pretty good. But you keep grasping.
The article earnest posted actually proves him wrong. In it, Jackson goes down a littany of plays that Recht should’ve been running, based on his crap OL.

8 OL recruits in 3 cycles

Donaldson
Herbert
Hillery
Dykstra
Gaynor
Scaife
Reed
Campbell

That is UNHEARD of at a major college football program. Of course, their were probably two or three players whom left trendy, plush Coral Gables.

Searels is a big question mark. From game day to recruiting. If he had been recruiting at an elite level from day one, we would have much fewer woes.

Searles and CMR are " tight. " Good Ol' Boy " tight. " If U know what I mean.

Blah, blah, blah...Coach Richt can appoint a new offensive coordinator...a new QB coach...and have his selection of the country’s current top college football QB's and not one **** thing is going to change!

Why in the **** people cannot see that Miami's offense is going nowhere until they repair an offensive line that would need a 10 story ladder to climb up on to be just pathetic is beyond me.

Since the days of Andy Gustafson, one could always point to at least one Miami offensive lineman who was good to excellent. Currently, there is not even one lineman that if you held your nose and closed one eye in which you could say that at least he has a heartbeat.

If you have a penchant for inflicting pain on yourself take a look at some video of the Texas offensive line and then immediately watch Miami’s version of the Keystone Cops offensive line.

This message board is fixated on the symptoms, not the disease!

ND had 2 top 10 pick Offensive lineman playing against Miami when we made them look like fools last year.

If you think play design, play scheme, and coaching isn't the reason why our OL looks so crappy then go ahead and try to explain to me how both of those guys just didn't bring it that game against a Sophomore DE (plus the Freshman who got a strip sack) and a DT that got drafted in the 5th round.
Heck, go ahead and tell me that UCF has more talent on the OL than us.
While you're at it, go ahead and look at the recruit classes Oklahoma has taken in for offensive lineman.
Oh, when you look at both of those, go ahead and check the Strength and Conditioning or general recruitment of Savannah St defensive lineman because we had a hard time against them too.

Gauthier, St. Louis, Mahoney, Jones are hindering the development of Gaynor, Herbert, Hillery, Reed, Campbell. Let the young kids play.
At this rate, agree with you, prepare the youngins, give them PT.

I don't think that our OL have heart. It takes a nasty temperament to play with success. Great being a 4* at 6'5 300 playing in highschool against 5'10 190 dtackle d end. Lean on them. Push them at your will. Come to the big leagues and now move a 6'4 300 lb dlineman with a nasty disposition. You can't teach nastiness with heart.

Seriously, what in the **** are you babbling on about? Those non-sequitur comparisons have less than zero to do with Miami's current offensive line.

And if I had the magical ability to trade the Canes offensive line for the University of Central Florida's offense line, then abracadabra, hocus pocus, presto magico, UCF's Wyatt Miller, Tyler Hudanick, Jordan Johnson, Cole Schneider, and Jake Brown would instantly become the Canes new starting offensive line.

One final comment/question; how many times have you been told that the brown acid is bad??

more guys blaming the coach then the players.
we're starting a true freshman at RT and trash besides donaldson everywhere else.

st louis is trash, gauthier is trash, WE"RE STARTING MAHONEY

they're all trash.

remeber ya;ll kept blaming kehoe?

remeber when you guys overrated our talent in the golden era? what those players doing in the NFL

stacy coley got cut by the giants LMAO. duke gets 3 carries a game and is more of a slot guy.

keep overrating our sorry as talent. these florida kids are SOFT as charmin son.
Our talent is, what the recruiting rankings say it is. Somewhere between 15-25 over the last 4 years

Let me guess. Bass starts a thread not many agree with, then spends the next few days responding to anyone who disagrees in an overly aggressive, defensive manner with corny insults a dude who wears New Balances would use?

Nailed it

At the end of the day, the OL coach is 70% of the problem and I expect him to "find a different opportunity" at the end of the season.

Remember when the guys from the Golden era made it to the NFL despite horrible coaching? I do. Your cult like love affair with Golden is pathetic.

Duke led the NFL in yards per touch three years in a row. Kindly have a seat.

Keep exposing yourself as a broken person. South Florida has tossed you up in every way and you're still falling apart at the seams over it like an infant.

sir who ont he line besides donaldson has talent can you let me know.

i like scalife but hes a freshman.....

gauthier mahoney and st louis are trash.

we struck out on another SFL overated trash again in herbert.

stop blaming the coaches

Mahoney is from Pennsylvania, jabroni. You don't even know what you're talking about.

Herbert has a shoulder injury he's still recovering from and you want to throw dirt on him because South Florida has you on a leash.

Take a break.

Miami is not the only team with offensive line woes. You can help mitigate offensive problems by calling plays that fit your offense. Stubborness in college football is a recipe for disaster. Mark Richt is stubborn, he wants a power rushing game where we have fat slow linemen trying to zone block. It is honestly a pretty dumb gameplan.
If the Oline is not blocking well you need- Quick slants, roll outs, pitch plays to the outside, chip blocking by the TE's, keeping backs and TE's in to block, wheel routes, screens. Use motion to free up receivers and take away corner back jamming. When your offense becomes predictable it becomes easily defended. ACC coaches have openly admitted Richt's offense is plain and lacks any creativity.
