Boise State fires OC day after loss

You don't fire a new OC four games into a new regime. First, to the rest of the CFB world, it would look insane and be a huge stain on Mario's reputation. Second, you'd never be able to get a good OC to come here after that.

If Gattis blows at the end of this season, show him the door. Until then, we have to hope it can work out.

Plough got fired after 16 games not 4. He coached last year
The entire CFB world would flame us for making this kind of move. It would make things look even more off the rails, and it would kill Mario's reputation. As much as it sucks, we must take a long-term outlook here. If this O sucks at the end of the season, no doubt he'll be shown the door.

No reason to keep Gattis around...

Cool. Dude was in his second year.

Miami can fire Gattis after 15-16 games by your rationale.

You don’t fire a new OC after four games. Especially when giving up 45 points and 500+ yards.

“It was a butt-kicking from the very beginning," MTSU coach Rick Stockstill said.

He wasn't wrong. MTSU (3-1) never trailed, forced turnovers on Miami's first three possessions, stopped the Hurricanes (2-2) on downs on three other occasions and scored on passes of 69, 71 and 98 yards — and had another 89-yard pass in there for good measure.

Has Gattis impressed? No. But it’s beyond idiotic to rant and rave about and OC with all the gaping wounds oozing right now.

Show the same venom towards this porous defense as well or sit the next couple of plays out, Champ.

Bigger than the already growing stain?

I didn't think Mario was EVER going to get his coaching staff together. Interviewing. Evaluating.

All that time - for this? This offense - it's pure siht! Three games and we look like our Offense walked off the set of the Living Dead!

Let the QB call his own plays. He sure can't do any worse.

Duck fan coming in peace. Just here to clue you in that it in all likelihood ain’t Gattis. And after Gattis, it won’t be the next guy.

We went through two OCs in 4 years who ran the same boring, “your meat vs. our meat” offense. Two of which were helmed by Justin Freaking Herbert.

If all goes to plan, you’ll be irreparably frustrated by Mario’s hard-headedness, milquetoast offensive gameplanning, weird use of timeouts, and baffling game management gaffes. On the bright side, he’ll assemble all-world talent and have some very good but ultimately not great seasons. Lastly, you’ll see players standing around on the sidelines not having any fun, and some out of left field transfers.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that I’m not.

All respect.

This dude was fired after a year. I don’t see any team firing a coordinator after game 4. We can only hope it happens after game 7 if we’re 2-5 but even then it’s doubtful.

After the season? Sure.

Did he say stain on Mario’s rep? 😂😂😂

Yeah let’s wait until he acquires more losses to the like of MTSU but as long as his rep is in tact we are good
