Boise State DT transfer Braxton Fely will visit Miami next weekend

DT's are probably the 2nd most expensive position outside of QB on a team. If they are just looking for an experienced 4th DT, then he is fine. Not to much money for experience. My issue with this is, we are a borderline playoff team, now, in my opinion. We don't have a real big, run stuffer at DT. We don't have the best LB room. We better find a stud MLB, sideline to sideline guy, if this is who we bring in. I don't like the middle of our D against ND with this move, as things sit now. I would want that big run stopper DT(money), a very good MLB and a very good S. Then I feel confident in our D.
This. Much like QB, the DT position is worth every penny. Starting to think Mario hates big DT’s. Lol

Not the guy I would choose. D$ said Carr was expensive and so was Zaquan.

Take some of that cash and get me a war daddy from the SEC.

100% agree with you. We need to be much stouter in the middle of our Defense front to back.

OL heavy teams like ND are definitely going to try to win on sheer physicality alone.

what's the point of recruiting guys like Carr and Zay if theyre expensive in the recruiting process only to dump them a. year later? wouldn't you rather work on development and get someone you intend on developing?

Cause you would hope they would not run away after 1 year cause they dont get playing time or get recruited over. And sometimes coaches miss on evals.

I mean we've dropped a few kids bc they were too expensive. I think its overpaying them in the first place tbh
