USF wasn't that bad last year, and they had a back up QB playing most of the game vs Miami

The backup played a bit but Brown attempted 30 passes and had 14 carries against Miami. He played a majority of the game.

Indeed they were. Most impressive thing about USF was how disciplined their defense was. Gap integrity, setting the edge, generally not letting the receivers get YAC, etc...

Felt like the back up played the entire second half (going based on memory) and that's when we started to distance ourselves. Either way, I didn't think they were that bad, just got really beat up from us during and after the game.

USF is not a bad team at all. I laugh at the earlier comments of how bad Brown is. Certainly not objective analysis but the kid brings it hard and can play.

The have some really solid skill position players and Brown is a dangerous runner. The thing that killed them against us and will hurt them against good P4 teams is the lines. Our defensive line engulfed them on every play. They were able to complete some passes early because our DBs were *** but every play, the pocket was being collapsed. Their 5 couldn’t block our 4

He looked like the 2023 version of himself when he was a beast. They had him too bulked up last season and he lost some of his explosiveness due to it.

I’m not surprised. I believed Jeanty should’ve won Heisman last year. Maddox also beat out Malachi Nelson for the starting job which is not a great sign for Malachi

I never thought I would see 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense in 2025 but Boise St proved me wrong......Even Todd Orlando can shut this weak offense down
