This is why it’d be better to just keep Bobby though. Like he’s an athletic freak. It’s his job to beg him mentally there.

Wiley he BETTER have ready to contribute/start next yr. Period

Maybe he's stiff as a board (nh) in coverage and must have major problems diagnosing/playbook?

He also may have lost tooo much athleticism off of the surgery and can't factor in at this level.

I mean I like the way he smacks the **** out of people too but some players the light bulb just doesn't come on for.

Ya I wouldn't mind it either but probably don't wanna risk losing Aguirre/portal/Wiley to portal

Lightfoot can also factor in the way they are moving him around and as good as his change of direction looks he could maybe be a hybrid Jack/LB type role.

Hetherman + Mario paying for his rehab + legit shot at 2-deep and being a rotational player this year (just has to beat out 2 of Wiley, Pruitt and Bonner) + national attention as a top program > no production / resume post-surgery and ending up transferring to an FIU or Coastal Carolina.

I think hitting the portal is a dumb move. As I said, I understand why Bobby might think he should do it. But I don't think he's thinking it all the way through. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice he's got to live with.

Exactly…He doesn't think he can do this. Pretty clear. And most reports here from anyone close to team have backed that up pre-injury

And it's getting late in his career for him to risk fighting that uphill battle and spending another year just covering kicks.
