I'd counter by leaving the main board open for the fans mature enough to evaluate the team they root for - both good and bad - but opening up a second forum called Al Golden's Rainbow Land.

Al Golden's Rainbow Land is a place to discuss all things cloud. It's great for making senseless Butch Davis comparisons, or dropping by to talk about how we're young for the 10th season in a row. It's also the ideal place to duck out, cover your hears, and sing "la la la la I can't hear you" whenever any of those meanies on the main board say something negative.

I dont think we need 15 threads with fire al golden as headline. I want that slob gone more than anybody but when you are stuck on Deployment in a third world country with maybe 2Gb of internet speed and it takes 10-12 to open each page. It gets stupid trying to sort through the repetitive whining and the 46 different who should our coach be threads.
