Nebraska is not really a good fit for the Big10.
At least not in football.
The successful teams in that conference pull alot of talent from Ohio, PA, Michigan, Chicago, NJ in addition to their
backyard.
Nebraska is so far removed those areas.
Kids in the midwest fly/drive over a bunch of Big10 schools on their visits to Lincoln.
They use to also pull alot of kids from the west coast plus the southeast.
But this was before alot of the Pac12 and SEC schools got their collective acts together.
Schools like USC, Oregon, LSU, etc were down during Nebraska's last great run.

WVU has similar issues being in the Big12....it's hurt them in their traditional recruiting
grounds (Ohio,PA,FL) and it's hard for them to pull the Texas kids.

So, yeah, I'm not so sure Golden is dumb enough to take that gig.
