Miami is finally over 50%. Crazy to see Miami was in the 30% range in 2014. Explains a lot of why this program has struggled so mightily. Not enough talent and terrible coaching. Look how far ahead Bama, OSU and Georgia are from the pack.

Worth noting how far below Clemson is from Bama/OSU/UGA ,and still technically below LSU and FSU, and yet we all know their roster is loaded with just as much or more talent.

It’s also worth noting how FSU is so high but apparently Jimbo “decimated” their roster. FSU even at half strength with average coaching should be able to run a train on most teams on their schedule.

Miami just needs competent coaching to be a top 25 team consistently that wins 10 or more games a year. If this team finally gets top 25 coaching with a top 10-25 talented roster then they can start getting higher classes and competing with the likes of Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama. Right now this team doesn’t have the depth to consistently beat the likes of PSU, LSU, and many other teams on that list.

This is clearly the biggest factor and the main reason we missed on many blue chippers.

Yes we clearly had coaching deficiencies at all 3 levels.

Patrick Nix, Mark Donofrio, Lil Richt, Uncle Jethro, etc...

The list of coaches over the past 15 has been bottom of the barrel bad, but also the recruiting was trash as well.

I am sure I read on this site that we have always had top top talent and the only issue was coaching.

I don't think they are using the composite, which is the only BCR that actually matters. Last year Miami had 34 BCs and 50 non blue chips. We signed 7 BCs and 11 non BCs last year. Even with the transfer we couldn't have possibly reached 50% BCR.

Most of these sites use 247Sports so i assume this is using the composite. It’s quite possible actually. Not sure if they are factoring in class rankings with addition or early departures but a better assessment is when the 247 team talent composite comes out soon

"Blue chips" out of the starters on the 2001 Miami team:

Offense: Bibla, Andre Johnson, McGahee (FB) and Daryl Jones

Defense: William Joseph, Howard Clark, DJ Williams and Rumph

36% of "blue chippers".

That's it.

Year, sure sure. At that time was the "dark ages" of recruiting. NO ONE knew ANYTHING.

Uh huh.

Find the talent and get it. And develop it.

Yup, it will be out in a month or 2. I don't think its possible. We were 17 away last year from being above 50% and we signed a ton of 3 stars last year plus lost a bunch of 4 stars to graduating.
