Thinking about this, when was the last time UM blocked a kick or punt?

Off the top of my head, last one I remember is vs Clemson in 2020. Has it happened since?

If Clemson is in fact the last time, has their ever been a bigger drought (38 games since) in canes history? - something we’re overdue for

Blocked Punt 2019

Sad as there clearly are opportunities when you see teams with 3-4 a year.

Our STs (as a whole especially Defensively) have been a far cry of what we were used to back in the day. Then again, we haven't had an Ed Reed, Tremain Mack, Nate Brooks etc...in many yrs.

If you are going to make these type of statements, how about back them up. Fact is with the new blocking techniques of having 3 guys lines up in front of the punter, it is really difficult to pull a blocked punt off.

Let me share the real stats.
Only 5 teams out of 120+ have 2 blocked punts this year.

If you are going to use half a year of stats you may want to consider doubling them. I'm guessing we will see 13 or more with 3+ blocks even against the new rugby style punts.

13 teams with 3 or more in 2022. Fact!
16 teams with 3 or more in 2021. Fact!

2019- 59 teams with a block (last block)
2020- 45
2021- 62
2022- 70
2023- 41 already teams

I also need to know how the F the domers blocked 7 last year?

Didn't make the numbers up. Check for yourself.

Facts are facts. Looks like some team make it an emphasis, other do not. When you don't have a dedicated ST coach it seems to be low hanging fruit for us.

In the Clemson game we almost got one. 4th quarter with 7:02 left we caused a really bad punt, almost blocking it. Dude had to cover a lot of ground to get there!

I didn’t misrepresent. I said some teams and it is around 10-15% with 3 plus each year and over 50% with at least one. Miami should have at least one this year just based on averages.
