I liked him as a football player and he seems like a good young man. Hope he recovers. A lot of therapies and techniques can get you back to - at least close to - normal these days.

He sounds depressed and emotional. Obviously, he’s emotional because he’s retiring, but he seems like he might not be thinking straight. He should 100% retire based on that video, but I really hope he’s talking to a professional and Miami is supporting him.

We joke a lot on here but stuff like this puts a lot of things these young athletes do into perspective. That video he put on IG was sobering and I'm glad he made the tough decision to think about his long term health over his short term health.

Well... If it's the only school you follow then it would appear that way..... Plenty of young men and women retire from athletics all over the country for medical reasons of all varieties....

miami provides counseling (i believe Deejay sought this during his time here). hopefully he takes advantages of everything miami has to offer.

****. Apparently he’s had some major head injuries. I feel terrible for this kid, you can tell he’s really going through it. Wishing him all the best. If anyone knows him personally please tell him a lot of people are rooting for him for the rest of his life.

I will say this. This board and fans generally can be pretty harsh on guys who play and don’t meet expectations. I ain’t perfect in that respect. But they sacrifice a lot of they wouldn’t be playing. Hope all these guys get a better life and benefit from their sacrifices.
