Bleak's Top 5 Coaching hires

Have you ever been to Iowa? Not a **** thing there, of course Miami is more attractive.

Some of you are painfully clueless as to what makes an area attractive to different people.
Campbell playing at Mt. Union and coaching at ISU tells you where he’s from. Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t fit in, but not everyone meshes with the area. IIRC one of the reasons Saban left the fins was because his wife hated Miami.
I was born and raised in Miami and got out the first chance I got and never looked back. I still visit and go for games, but it’s not my scene especially with a family. Honestly I thought Richt was a fish out of water there too.

If he can't recruit well, why even? So we can continue the heartache of having our boys exported to Bama, Clemson and Georgia? No, the person that comes in NEEDS to be able to recruit well in the furtilenss of "Flawda".

The next HC needs to be able to recruit and commit athletes NATIONALLY.

Yes, SoFL has a tremendous talent base, but so do other regions.

They ALL need to be exploited. The elite programs' life blood is their non-stop logistics train of top 5 classes.

Miami needs to short circuit those lines and reroute them to Coral Gables.

The elite get weaker, Miami gets stronger.

This must be a high priority focus.

It's looking like Babers or bust.

Id be more than fine with that...

Dude can coach... brings with him an exciting offense.. has moved the needle at every stop and has never been afforded the luxuries/bag game of top P5 conference and still doesn't with syracuse.

Just bring a savage DC to pair with him and lets get back to the top

Most coaches are on the ladder, trying to get to their next rung.

And for a coach like Campbell, Iowa is a stepping stone, not a destination.

And don't be painfully clueless why some people aspire to more.

Never been. Never plan to go.

Easy Rod...Iowa is a beautiful place to be 6 months of the year. Having said that, I would consider Miami to be more attractive but Campbell seems to like Ames. I think he will go someday but he doesn’t shy away from a challenge.

Winning at Iowa State is impressive for anyone who can do it. They have no history and are clearly the red headed step child in this state. He is a great motivator and I think he could recruit if he had a better product to sell.
