How does committing to a middle of the road school give any of the 16 kids leverage?

oos schools see a dade/broward kid with um offer/commitment and come in biting because the kid must be good because its a local kid....

Its my take on recruiting oos ....if the local school aint offer i dont want no parts.

One of my main recruiting rules to follow. Yes, there are mistakes but for the most part, holds true. I expect this Mike Jackson CB to be a total stiff

You guys gotta chill ...one more year and they'll fire this fool ...every school goes through it ....hopefully it happens early enough to salvage 2016 ...if not then its a small price to pay lmao

Small price? Huge price!

2016 is a potential game changing class for Miami and we are sitting ducks with Golden at the helm. That will set us back for quite some time regardless of the next hypothetical coach.

admin completely blew it. We could have been fully back very shortly had they made the moves that needed to be made. Hire Butch and this class looks completely different and he would have a full year to build relationships with the 2016 kids. Now, we are going to fire Al next December (hopefully, if not , fvck it all) and leave the next coach one month to secure the class after a 6-7 loss season. 2016 class is going to implode because of the administrations decisions. Huge setback!

Yep, that is why we all were saying if you don't fire Golden this year you set the team back at least 2 years. We knew 2015 would be a disaster and transition years are always tough on new coaches. 2016 is loaded down here and we will not get the class we should because we will be breaking in a new coach.

Hopefully, the new president is proactive and has Golden's replacement ready immediately after the season so he can get to work on the recruiting trail.

Truth. Keeping Golden was the biggest lack of foresight you could have. UM gonna UM. Instead of the new coach having a chance to salvage 2015 and a whole year plus to croot 2016, basically the coach and staff will have a mad scramble to put anything together in 2016.

Sets this thing back 2-3 more years.

I assume the problem can be fixed with a new coach???

Competence helps.
There were viable local kids Golden chose to ignore that would have been canes had he not decided to recruit them at the last minute.
Golden doesn't help himself and gets left scrambling.

It's time to turn up the heat even more on Big Al,Blake,Paul,JF & No D....make them quit....

I'm still young enough to witness our return in 2030 during the Sun Maid raisin Bowl and witness an aged, sickly Beyonce hacking out the Google national anthem.

The decision not to fire Al is in part due to the President search. Any competent coach would want to know who the new president for the U is. Without certainty that the new president will be football friendly, our pool of candidates for the coaching job would be lessened. The timing of the search for a new president stinks, because the football community has decided Golden isn't the right guy (and rightly so). I don't know if the AD would have pulled the trigger if the new president was in place, but I believe it would have been much more likely. I am sure whoever the new president is, they will address the coaching issue, if only to remove it as a distraction from the rest of their agenda.

Unprecedented but Golden needs to be fired Thursday once the LOis are in.

Give me reasons why he should be coach next week.

At this point this class is going to be a disaster, and Al can't hire another local high school coach to save him from the dark abyss. Already has Baez, Beard, and Ice and he still can't get no pull, kids realize he's a piece of **** coach. Those three guys took the job because they wanted to get into college coaching, not because it was their alma mater or the local college.
Like mentioned before its a spring board (with the kids, i.e. Scarlett and soon to be all of the 2016 class) into a new coaching opportunity somewhere else, just you watch (i.e. Stoutland, Shannon, Cristobal etc.)
Get rid of the guy let's be real!

Miami can recover quickly no such thing as a setback if you have the most fertile recruiting areas. Even a down year in Miami is probably producing B level players.. So as I've said if you coach them up Miami should be highly competitive every single year.
