Blame the coaching not the talent

Why are so many 3 stars starting?

Because of the compounding impact of having SO MANY ****** COACHES IN SUCCESSION that causes us to LOSE GAMES WE SHOULDN'T LOSE. That in turn fuels a negative perception from recruits and parents and keeps us from landing the truly elite of the elite.

Before you retardedly assume that means I'm agreeing with you, I'm absolutely not. I take a much more macro view of college football and after so many years of loving it, embracing it, and watching more of it than I care to admit.....a successful college football program works like a wheel. That wheel has inputs that keep the wheel turning.

Winning games you SHOULD win
That leads to a better perception and less opportunities for people to negative recruit against you
Leads to national championship levels of recruiting
Leads to consistent success
And that fuels winning at an even higher level
....and thus the wheel keeps spinning.

This is what most of the DBJ coaching staff/admin apologist retards on this site don't get. They can't grasp it. They say stupid stuff like "we're a kicker away from being undefeated", "we don't have talent", "our player suck". All of those statements, on a RELATIVE basis, are 100% incorrect.

There's MORE than enough talent there to NOT lose to VT, GT, and NC. There's MORE than enough talent there to NOT struggle against Central Michigan. Nobody is crucifying Manny for losing to UF, at least I'm not. I have realistic expectations. The fact of the matter is we had an EMBARRASSINGLY easy schedule this year, and we already wasted that opportunity to have a nice 9-10 win season (admittedly built on beating bad teams but who cares....that feeds the perception thing).

I stand by every word in this post and it's EXACTLY why I'll never agree with the garbage you are spewing. EVERYTHING in life is RELATIVE. We're (at least me) not yelling for a national championship. We're yelling for a competent coaching staff.

All of this **** are symptoms by the way. The real disease is this God forsaken abomination of an administration that doesn't give a crap about football and keeps making lazy hires.

Just to state above again and again!!!

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard....and I’ve questioned our work ethic/desire for over a decade. Coaches don’t get a pass either...they need to be a lot better as well

It is definitely lack of talent. Hardly any 1st team all ACC, no first rounders and havent had a 1st team all American in years. Maybe one player would start on alabama/clemson

We lost to GT and UNC and VT
Please compare our talent to theirs and not the last four national champions and get back to us on your failed argument

Its a multitude of problems. Sub par coaching is one of them. The talent is above average at best. Reading most of these posts makes me think a lot of you did not play team sports past your elementary school years. Our players culture, attitude, and mental toughness is severely lacking. It only takes a few players to make a team suck. And our locker room is full of disease. You dont have to look any further then JW15 missing multiple practices. These kids are soft whiny little bi#ches. I played on teams where it only took one guy on the team to mind F#ck the whole team. Coaching is part of the problem but its not the main issue. Ill give credit where its due. Diaz has these guys playing harder and he is playing the guys who arent gonna whine and sulk and quit on the team. Its hard to rid a team of the disease.

Our blue chip ratio might be top 13 but on the talent index we are much closer to 25. Yes we get 4 stars but they are often borderline

51 percent blue chip ratio!! Top 13 in the nation!! Yet we can’t win VS these trash @ss teams with one star talent. We don’t have top 15 coaching, talent development
I agree, but if you give our oline to any of the top 10 schools, I promise you they will not be top 10 at this point.

Both were consensus 4 stars
Is there really a difference between a low 4 star that’s a 290 ranked prospect and a high three star that’s ranked 350?

We have 2 kids that were top 100 recruits from the 2016 and 2017 class that make up our upperclassmen. That’s why we lack talent.
