Blake James will end up being fired...

Mark my words that this will end up costing him his job and he will never sniff another AD position in his career. Now I know many say he has no power, but regardless a confident competent AD would force the hand of Golden and his higher ups to make changes and have it documented so he is not the scape goat which he will be.

I would be in every Newspaper and sports talk radio saying changes must happen, and it must be significant and when pressed I would it make it clear that if given full control I would demand the changes.

When golden is fired and if Butch will not be considered, Miami needs to make a council of the top coaches and players from the past to use their network to hire an under the radar guy from the NFL to steer us back to prominence...there is no one in coral gables right now capable, networked, or of the ability to hire the type of coach Miami needs

there is a lot about the situation that we don't actually know. it appears that he is powerless in the Al sweepstakes but he doesn't come across as a top tier leader with his comments and what he says to defend Al. no question that a new President could fire him based off of Al and wanting a complete fresh start or he could be praised for the amount of money he has raised and improved facilities in Coral Gables. we just don't know what the new President has as priorities so Blake could go either way.
 
Maybe everyone should redirect the campaign towards Blake. Maybe then he would feel the pressure more directly.

Most importantly, what we don't know is how tight a grip al has on TheU's balls when he and his agent discovered he was lied to by Shawn Eichorst (about the NCAA Investigation) and by extension the President/University.

We only know what they tell us. It's a private school so, they don't have to disclose anything to us they don't want too. And they can lie to us and the press at will.

They, Miami, keep telling us he has an expensive buyout clause. This gives us hope that a year or two down the road it will be reduced to a point that they could afford to fire him. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!

The impression I get from those that should be in the know is that he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Scary

How do we go from someone the caliber of Paul Dee (love him or hate him, he was an accomplished respected leader)to Fake James?

Blake is keeping the seat warm.

Golden has a job for the same reason Blake has a job.

Shalala is leaving and we don't want to force a brand new hire on the new pres.

Blake might be reassigned but he will not be the AD.

Why would he really have any leverage on the school because they didn't tell him about the scandal? Let's stop pretending we hired Urban Meyer here, who had his pick of the litter on which school he wanted to attend. This guy was coaching at Temple making a mil or less a year. He was the one that should have been thankful he got the job in the first, and he was. It's just another made up excuse.
 
Not Blake's fault . He has no ability to hire and fire anybody. This is all on Shalala .See my OP
