He gave complete autonomy to a man who was micromanaged by his previous employer because of his incompetence. Richt being the OC should have been a deal breaker.

Nahhh. 99% of us thought Richt was the right hire at the time.. plus Blake helped get us an IPF.

Truth is Richt has bamboozled everybody, including James. He became the Mark D'Nofrio of offense. No one saw that coming

Most of us didn't think it would be this bad, but nobody with even a moderate understanding of college football thought Richt would build a championship level program here.

Agreed, but the dude averaged 10 wins a season at UGA. In the SEC. I would've been happy--for a few years at least--if we got 10-win Richt and not the trainwreck he's become this season.

He averaged 9.6 wins per season (including bowl games).

Well I guess I was the 1%

Well I guess I was the 1%

It was way less than 99%. Rational and logical people knew Richt wasn't the guy.

1. Some just "hoped" he was what we needed.

2. Some just "wanted" him to be the guy.

3. Some actually just disregarded his tremendous sample of coaching and believed he had a higher ceiling.

4. Some just liked that he went to UM. What a story it would be if he achieved more here than he did at UGA!

Anyone who actually thought about it knew Richt wasn't the guy. How often does a P5 coach, with such a large sample of experience as a P5 HC, out perform his prior tenure?

you hav the guy who assembled the greatest roster in history (dealing with 31 schollys reductions) telling you a NC in 4 years and you
run to a guy who was just fired a few days before.

Until we bring in a competent, passionate AD with autonomy, expect more of the same from our admin.
Change starts at the top, James is a career administrator not a world class leader.....
CMR , Golden , Shannon.....
also not buying we do not have any money routine anymore. Football makes UM big time $$$$$
hire a pro
