"It is hard to imagine the University of Miami without Donna Shalala. She has meant so much to the U Family over the past fourteen years and has been a tremendous visionary, leader and friend to our students, faculty, staff and alumni around the world. President Shalala has been instrumental in our Athletics resurgence and has been our biggest supporter. Though her departure will be a loss, we are a better university because of her. She has been a friend and mentor to me and I wish her the very best in the future." - AD Blake James

What he really needs to say its about time she step down for what happen on her watch with the rat
 
She was a blessing to the U, and she will be missed. Those little shoes are going to take some big feet to fill. From the Medical campus, to undergraduate academics, to the incredible and unmatched capital improvements to football and athletics and her passion for our teams, she's the best President the U has ever know. Thank you for your service, Donna.

unmatched capital improvements to football yeah she accomplished that alright by having the OB knocked down. Are you high slurper. She accomplished destroying the football which im sure one of her big goals

Is this real life? Utter buffonery to the point of being infuriating.

She came in when this football program was at the absolute apex. During her tenure it has been nothing but a slow and gut-wrenching spiral to mediocrity and irrelevance. Blake James is an empty suit who has neither the pedigree nor experience to build and maintain a premier football program. He has no track record and is the epitome of an *** kissing status quo yes man. He is definitely part of the problem. This guy will make our next hire - think about that.

How can he possibly say she has overseen any resurgence? It is the exact opposite, a complete regression. This is about the most inaccurate official comment imaginable. For those who do not connect the dots, the reason we are handcuffed with our current coaches long term contract is because Kirby Holcutt knew about Nevin and the impending disaster and did not disclose to AG. Of course AG and his shrewd agent leveraged it to the max and strong-armed a totally underserved multi year contract. Yes, Kirby was her hire. Makes me sick. Her decisions have crippled this program beyond belief.

A great president not good but great. I am a conservative politically so this is tough for me to say but best wishes president Shalala and good luck.

She was great from the perspective of academics and fundraising for the schools academia. She hasn't done squat as far as raising funds for the Athletic department. Whoever says she has is lying out they ***.

Hopefully we get a President that knows how to stay the **** out of the way and hire a top notch AD and let them do their thing.
 
Who gives a **** what Fake James says about Shalala? Might as well ask FAMU equipment manager what he thinks.
