i know athletic department folks peruse this site, pass the word homos. We need a home run hire and the above would be home run hires IMO

Herman and Fuente are my #2 and #3 choices (Chip #1 ).

I don't think Morris & Montgomery are ready.

Personally I don't want a defensive HC, so Pruitt and Stoops are out for me.

The reason I still like Stoops is he isn't conservative offensively, both OCs he hired come from the uptempo spread background. You get the uptempo offense and a guy who took the FSU D for 100+ to 2nd in 3 years. Although Pruitt somehow gets the credit for that around here.

Neal Brown (now the coach at Troy) was the OC at Troy and Texas Tech.
Shannon Dawson was the OC at West Virginia.

Only thing that freaked me out was that he allegedly went after James Coley for OC.

No idea if that's true, but it scared me ****less.

That's my biggest hesitation with him as well.

Offer the winner of the November 14th game between Memphis and Houston ... And if he turns it down, hire the loser of that game.

Both of them can be had for $2.5MM ... Well within budget.

If both turn it down ... Hire Butch.

... Because if we can't get the HC of Memphis to leave his program for Miami, we might as well fully embrace the "has been" brand!
