Blake Cyr broke thumb?

Since you seem to be our Cyr insider, is this specifics about injury putting him out for season and speculation about transfer, or specifics about both injury and transfer?
Not sure what you're asking, but put yourself in this young man’s shoes. You are a legit (MIF!) MLB prospect, you commit to a team years in advance, stay true to your word, but then you can’t help but question the (politically motivated?) moves by a new regime.

Then again, everything is fluid until it’s not. Who wouldn’t love living and playing ball in Miami? But if your ultimate goal is playing in The Show, then you gotta do what’s best for yourself.

Basically, I’m assuming you heard something specific about his injury, and was asking if you’d heard something specific that would indicate he plans to transfer. Seems from your answer that you haven’t heard anything definite, but general indications of discontent about how things have played out?

Definitely wouldn’t blame him if he did. I was surprised he didn’t bolt to greener pastures after last year.

These are the potential serious unintended consequences of not doing the right thing as a program when you had the opportunity.

He stayed true to his commitment, so, it's time for the boosters who wanted J.D. to pony up and go get some studs in the portal. And pay Blake and Cuvet enough NIL to keep them and try to make a run next year.

Don’t blame him for wanting to leave… this team needs ALOT of infused talent.

Whoever it was that bankrolled to get JD the job needs to throw some cash into the NIL pot and save their boy next season and get him some day 1 difference makers.
