Does the +1 game for us have to be played in Florida but can be a team from anywhere or does it have to be against a Florida school?

I agree with most of what you are saying.

BUT, the fake injury situation isn't an EXCUSE for losing, so much as it is a simple statement of lack of class and sportsmanship, and what the standard should be when you are playing your former employer and almost everyone in the stadium (UM and FIU fans alike) admire and respect the head coach.

I love what Butch did at Miami. I wish we could have rehired him. BUT, I am still ****ed off about that horrendous display. I hate it when soccer players pretend that an eye was poked out or a tooth was lost when the defender didn't touch them.

I can have two thoughts in my brain at the same time. Love for Butch's past accomplishments AND great anger for what he did last year.

Playing a team like Wagner would not help us one bit. It’s akin to playing Savannah State. The competition is so ****** that you learn nothing about your team.

I’m all in favor of playing a G5 school to tune up the offense before conference play. UAB or Temple would be fine because they are decent teams that would force us take the game seriously.
 
I believe Northeast Conference that Wagner is in, postponed Fall sports to Spring yesterday so whew Wagner is out.
 
Pretty sure the proposal says that it has to be an "in state" team...so scratch all of our formerly scheduled OOC opponents this season...

It says that ACC teams have to play in state. So FSU can go to Gainesville for an OOC game but can't travel to Alabama for one.
 
FWIW, Temple's athletics site is still counting down.

makes sense on the legal aspect of it. you have contracts with 3 schools (two of which youre gonna have to agree to a buyout). limit the money spent by scheduling one of the original 3
