Blake Baker on Joe Rose Monday, 7am

Baker breaks the silence. Hope we hear something about Scrimmage 3. I've been following this team online since pre-Canestime Grassy days, and have never seen a staff and extended community of players, friends, family, high school coaches, alumni, etc. not at least say something about a scrimmage.
 
I think he’ll keep it low key unless Rose presses him for stats and/or performance from Saturday’s final scrimmage. Looks like Manny wants not part of spilling the goods before UAB.

If Ragone sees the field AGAIN therr is a serious problem!!! Blake has alot to prove and the amount of talent we have for the next 2-3 year there are no excuses. Ragone sees the field and dude should be relieved of his duties immediately.

Srry man the guy made a horrible 1st impression. Not starting Rosseau, going to that 3 man rush on 3rd n longs, and dropping DEs into coverage. It just didnt seem like he got alot out of the defense.

Bum may/may not be a touch harsh, however, 4th and 17 will forever live in infamy, as will several other head scratchers from last season. Now, things weren't all bad on D (several bright spots), but it seems Baker can't "put it all together" with his formations on a consistent basis.

A scoring O from de facto HC/OC Lashlee will make Baker's D look "better".

247 said last week it wasn't going to be a "scrimmage" as much as situational stuff. the team didn't go off campus for it, either.

I've been extremely hard on Baker because I feel he is the only remaining weak link. The fact is the way he and his unit perform will go a long way toward us being the team we are capable of being. I'm rooting for his success. It's imperative.

This. We had the games like UVA and Pitt where we completely shut teams down vs. games like VT

GR was coming off multiple injuries going into last season.
