Blake Baker is doing great...

He's gonna get ran out of Mizzou. They shouldn't even be in the SEC to begin with.

Would take alot more parts then that.

From everything I always heard about him, he was the least of our issues. Just stupid enough to believe his buddy and mentor had his best interest.
His Defense is still going to get shredded like the Bartender’s Defense in Utah.

“Manny took over the playcalling in the second half of games bro. You could see a real difference!!”

Brian Kelly also let Corey Raymond walk to a rival, and scored 8 points on Manny Diaz's defense despite having an OL with 3 first round draft picks or something like that.
yeah that's true.. But brian kelly is also a winning machine. His hires might be questionable at best and he's definitely a certified weirdo but the dude wins no matter where he goes so that should speak for something

I'm pretty sure Banda's defense at Utah State did solid. They improved their defense quite significantly from the prior year and won the conference (and the conference ship game against ranked San Diego St).

Figured as much but it would be riveting. You could post snippets every few days and the subsequent fallout and vitriol would be epic. Then things would calm down and BAM another story and the masses would revolt once again.

So this means that 4 members of Manny Diaz's former defensive staff, including Manny himself, are now defensive coordinators in college football
Still don't get how PSU can look at Miami's defense last year and how poor the tackling was and say that is the guy we need to lead our defense. **** one of the main reasons Diaz was fired as HC is because his defense was so bad.

Wait, didn’t Baker have his hand in coaching and crooting LB’s? Didn’t he throw some nice shade at UM when he was crootin the LB from Orlando? But he’s absolved for some reason now?

Were we wrong about this guy?
When college coordinators fail 8 times out of 10 its because of the talent that they have. Same applies to when they succeed.

The 2/10 is guys like Mark D'Onofrio, Josh Gattis, Dan Enos, etc. **** even Guidry would look pretty good with the roster we have right now. Won't even put him in that category.

On the flip side, you'll occasionally see guys that do more with less. Lashlee was a good example of that as an OC.

Baker has players now.

Yes, but I wasn't part of the "we" crowd.
Alot of folks were also wrong on Schnellenberger, Tim Walton, Stoutland and others.
Armchair knuckle heads.
You’re my guy on coaches since legitimately the 90s, but I strongly disagree on Walton. He had a rough go here *as a coordinator.*

6 years later he was given a shot as an NFL coordinator and was replaced after 1 season.

18 years later, he’s now in a ‘Co-DC’ role (no idea if he’s calling plays).

Clearly, he’s been validated as a DB coach. As a coordinator, not so much. And, regardless, his time here was, at best, a learning experience. And, yeah, I remember he was forced to start Vegas Franklin at DT, ha.

Randy Shannon! The players here in the early 2000's gave him his whole career. His failed HC here and every DC job since.
