Heard all spring and fall camp Dunson was going to play a ton. Not sure why he didn't get more snaps over Couch and Ivey.

As much as I want new blood in the system, we need to all understand that not every player we bring in will actually be better. There's a reason dudes hit the portal, and it's usually because of playing time. The ones we bring in, usually, are going to be dudes that weren't getting as much as they'd like at their previous stop. It's not all going to be sunshine and roses if we have 25-30 players leave through the portal, and another 10-15 from graduation. This team will look different next year, but that does not always mean better. Every single player coming in will be coming into a new system.

That's for sure but I think Ruiz's deals and some of the others just state they have to be available for their commitments and not for playing at Miami. He might not receive any more higher-paying ones but he also won't lose what he has by staying local.
