BJ article on young players in bowl

yeah he contradicts himself saying he has veterans so they won’t have to worry about blitz pickup which technically means they won’t play cause they aren’t going to get first down snaps....but he goes on to say they are talented and we free to just run when they are in. Who knows with him anymore
What he's doing is called setting the table...

It's pre-built in excuses, "they're young", "they don't know what they're doing", "blitz pickup" etc..

Enos said the challenge for freshmen running backs “is grasping multiplicity of defenses... between run game and protection stuff, you’re seeing 100 times more than you did on defense [in high school]. To play fast, you’ve got to know what you’re doing."

“The thing these guys are going to have an advantage of is we have good veteran running backs so they may not have to carry the load like a third-down blitz pickup early. So when you put them out there you can let them do what they do best, which is carry the ball, catch the ball. Those are natural instinctive things running backs can do. Those guys are talented enough to contribute when they get here. They’re both very bright, have an extremely bright future.”

Yall know what this means right?...

Yep...they will not play

I actually hate Enos because he doesn't care. He's like I'm sticking to my philosophy sink or swim..

From a business perspective sounds like he will fail.

Many men have failed down the same road. We all know 2021 we have to wait to get a new coach..

I'm not gonna be negative every thread but yeah it's obvious Enos tells Manny what to do.

"Credit to UM officials David Cooney and DeMarcus Van Dyke for keeping the recruits engaged, during the past several weeks, with a group text that featured inspirational messages."

They should open a mega church and use it for bag money

Besides the three freshmen defensive tackles and Harvey, another freshmen who has not played recently ...

My take is by "young players", he means the freshmen.

Yep. I guess when I read the title saying young players I was so focused on seeing a blurb on lingard that him listing freshman only went completely over my head. That's my bad.

Diaz, looking to the offseason, said: “In my mind, I can’t think of a position on our team that is not open. I don’t know what platform anyone would have to stand on to stay they’re safe.

That includes you, payaso
