I had read it as he was opting out to get his mother out of working as a nurse during COVID. Sacrificed the year (probably got an advance from his agent) to support/save his mother from getting sick.

That's what I read as well after the draft. It's admirable. What is your mother's life worth to you?

Trying to block Rousseau, Phillips and Roche would have been an absolute nightmare for teams, still upset that he skipped the season

I take production with a grain of salt coming from college... Film is the better measure of success IMO.... Rosseau looked very good, but Phillips just looked like the better prospect as a rush OLB if we were running a 4-3 I'd take rosseau

It does depend on scheme. I just see GR as more versatile, and a really big problem for any O trying to keep him 10 feet away from a ball carrier. I see Phillips as a monster in a 3-4. I just like the guy that can line up all over the place and cause problems from every angle. They are both going to have awesome careers.
