Bob Stoops is probably wishing he would have waited just one more week.

Living legend.

What he did at KSU is still one of the most impressive things I’ve seen.

They were worse than Rutgers at one point.
Worse then Rutgers. When he came in they were on a 27 game winless streak. That is unheard of in division 1 football. Third worst losing streak of all time.

Many of us remember the last wave of coaching legends that retired from CFB (Tom Osbourne, Bo Schembechler, Jim Sweeney, and a small handful of others). It seems the next wave is happening now. Im saddened to see Paul Johnson retire. The thought of there not being a triple option running attack in CFB is kinda sad IMO. Now seeing FatherTime (Bill Snyder) retiring is another passing in our sport.

Who will be the next generation of coaches who will eschew the NFL and stay at the college level for their entire careers? Clearly Nick Satin is one, but who are the others? Lincoln Riley? Scott Frost? Others??

Congratulations on a stellar career Coach Synder! Wish we had talent evaluation and development his coaching staff was able to pull off. Their OL’s always worked in unison and he was able to recruit tough hard-nosed kids which always gave him a shot in games. He will be missed surely.
