Bill OBrien

Name to watch. Guy can coach an offense. They have 5 stars all over but his offense stretches the field and he uses all his weapons. Also brings HC experience from college and NFL. Would be in my top 4.
OMG no. If you were ever a Texans fan you'd know there is not a worse tactical decision maker and time manager on the planet. The guy is simply terrible.

I’ve defended him a lot in this thread and just to clear some air… I agree with all of this. All valid concerns.

I do think he’s a good coach and is capable of running a program though. We would not be in bad shape under BOB. But how quickly does he go 9-3 or 10-2 and bolt for the NFL?

This is my only issue with BOB.. if he does everything we expect, he'll be in prime position to be an NFL HC again, and he seems like an NFL guy. I don't think he would be any less successful at UM than he was at PSU. He could bring the type of vision we need at HC. But, I totally expect him to bolt to the league if any opportunity arose.

For all the concerns about his play calling, they put up 38 pts in their loss. Besides our game against Central Connecticut, we couldnt put up 38 pts against MSU, App St, or UVA.

"Name To Watch". Cute.

Alabama offensive coordinator. Former Houston Texans head coach. Former Penn State head coach. Former New England Patriots quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.

Really going out on a limb there.

Dude will fall out of bed and have a dozen job offers before his head hits the floor, the day he's ready to leave Alabama for another head coaching gig.

Spoiler alert; he'll land a better gig than head coach at the University of Miami. Dude isn't coming down for half-full off-campus stadiums, second-rate president / athletic director / board of trustees trifecta or to play second fiddle to sports franchises, South Beach, nightlife, beach weather or an "entertainment" town that only shows up as "sports" fans when it's a big-ticket outing.

Wasn't to impress with what he did with the Texans, according to the experts really underperformed
