Biggest threat to Miami = Phil Knight

Just not true at all. You really don’t put a price on family. Especially with Mario’s mother ill, hopefully nothing serious, if he wants to be around family he will be. I spent 7 years in Korea/Italy/Japan in the military and choice to come back to the US because my father has cancer. I would much rather be back in Europe traveling and having a good time, but you can’t put a price on time with family is my point.

No one will be happier about that then Tricky Nicky Saban given his contract clause:

Nick Saban must be "paid at least as much as the average total pay of the top three SEC coaches or top-five NCAA coaches, whichever is higher."

Mario getting $15 mill would bump that top-5 NCAA coaches average up quite a bit.

Let's say our offer is 7 years 50M and Mario is going to accept, what Happens if Phil Knight decides I'm tired of losing HCs and im not going to lose another one and offers Mario a 10 year 120M deal with a massive recruiting budget increase? Do I have any idea if that will happen? No I'm just purely speculating but I do know Phil Knight loves Oregon Football

I don't think if Mario wants to come here the decision is gonna be about money, unless we really tried to low-ball him.

I understand that. My point is it’s all on Mario and what he wants. He can accept a Miami offer and go back to Oregon and say don’t worry about a counter offer, money isn’t an issue. But we shall see! Fingers crossed. I fear if it’s not Mario it’s manny again and I don’t want that

Is he going to hold Cristobal's family hostage?

We'll have a limit on our budget. If Knight wants to to that by $5m a year, so be it. Cristobal then has to choose.

But **** it, give me Lane or Herman in that scenario.
