Biggest Loss going into 2019 season

Willis. All-ACC selection committee is a laughing stock. Saw a lot of ACC games, including 3-4 Clemson games, and there was no one more dominant than Willis on the defense, no one that opposing OCs had to game plan around more. He will be a Pro Bowler soon.

Who will be missed more: Willis or JT4?

Meaning the biggest impact in a game and how teams have to game plan?
By far Willis! He has made it that we did not miss Norton and McIntosh from 2017. And Willis was a serious first team All American though bumped by a Clupsum guy!

Rofl, who is jt4, what people gotta understand, jt4 leaving actually helped the guys with pride. In football, especially in Miami and how we think, jt4 leaving like that's gone make us lose, that's disrespectful to guys on the team who got a winners mentality, you see what deejay dallas did, no jt4, no problem.

Miami football is about dominant defensive football, so willis being gone will have a way bigger impact than jt4 leaving, you see what we did with and without him.

At the same time come next year, while gwIII will definitely be missed, this defense has gotten better and better 3yrs straight, if they get any better than this year, that would be comical, but the standard is set on the defensive side of the ball!

Obvious answer is Willis.

Playing devils advocate I'd say we may be able to replace some of what Willis gave us (hopefully Nesta). But I can tell you there is no way in **** anyone in that WR room comes close to what JT gave or could have given us if our OC was competent. Its also clear we need ahhh 'assistance' on offense.

So In reality its probably JT.

I still remember my 1st beer ......Miami's biggest loss ....no matter what season was and will always be the Orange Bowl

As for player loss after this year it's a tie between the underused JT and Willis

Willis. JT4 showed flashes of his potential but he never had Willis's consistency.

(In JT4's defense, he had Malik as his QB for the majority of his tenure here and he played within Richt's 1988 air-diarrhea offense).

IMO the biggest individual loss will be Willis, but the defensive secondary is taking another huge hit this year, if Rumph and Banda turn out another good product next season...they're both going to start getting some serious looks. Although Rumph catches crap for his recruiting, he sure seems to pull the guys that he needs.

Thomas was the only legitimate deep threat. We now have Lingard as the only true speedster on offense.

Nesta will make us forget about Willis as fast as he made us forget about Norton/McIntosh.

There's currently no one on the roster or incoming who can fill Thomas' potential. Sigh.
