For the first time in years
Yesterday was the first day I knew we would convert every short yard conv when we ran
In the past even when we “blew” out teams it was mostly due to turnovers or blown coverages and big plays
We would still get stuffed repeatedly and would punt multiple times
Also on most the runs the backs weren’t touched running through the line
That’s a huge difference
Our big wins used to be like fsu against Duquesne, our rbs would get yards but they were breaking tackles and making ppl miss behind the line
This was a purely dominant running game
And finally looked liked a win vs a fcs team

Yup. Just demoralizing to not be able to control the LOS against what were supposed to be weaker opponents. It seems Cristobal and Co. are determined change that trend.

I know that to win it all these days you need multiple playmakers at WR which we don't have and probably won't this season. But job 1 for this staff was getting the OL to beat opponents.
