Big game Mark Richt

Easiest 500 bucks I ever made, can't believe some people thought Uga would beat Bama

UGA and Clemson are the same program. Top recruiting class every year, preseason NC contender in all publications and they lost 3-4 games.

Dabo is Richt . I mean I'd love to be that night now , I've been Goldenized.

Prisoners of the moment.

UGA starts the guy who LOST the QB battle at UVA. That's the guy who won their starting job ... And he showed up late.

Bama does not ose to average QB play. Even when they lose to average QBs, those guys play stellar games or get very lucky, or both.

Th only way UGA fires Richt is if this team implodes. And losing this game probably helps UGA play the rest of the season without the burden of being perfect ... ****, they may still play for the SEC title is Atlanta ...

I posted this in a thread about the good games this weekend. There's zero chance Saban loses to a run heavy offense with a suspect qb.

This was the easiest spread I've seen in awhile .

they lost to trevor knight who only looked good against them. they lost to an lsu team that didn't have a true starting qb. they lose mostly to spread teams bc like us their overweight lbs can't cover sh*t down field. they are designed to beat teams like Georgia which all SEC teams use to play like during their championship run. the introduction of the uptempo spread has given them fits

Boom. Spread those defenses out vertically and horizontally and keep the pace up.

uga is guaranteed 3 losses a year..

Richt stealing money up there...but their fan base is cool with it...SEC, SEC, SEC

winning at uga should be like winning at miami.....(miami actually has it harder recruiting wise)

they fail every year.

Nailed it.

That is why I'm baffled that people want a "pro-style" offense here. Mind boggling. The athletes we can recruit fit a spread uptempo O to a T, match made in heaven.

I think some people are holding onto old misconceptions of the spread, i.e. spread teams can't run the ball, and they can't play good defense.

That **** is outdated.

The only reason I'm not a huge fan of the spread is how many coaches run it the wrong way. Get way too pass happy. I feel like James Coley is trying to run a spread version of a pro style offense this year and is just throwing the ball way too much. If Yearby had 25 carries last game, we would have won.

Chip Kelly, first 2 games this year.. could not run the ball.. they lose both and look terrible. Game 3 started running the ball successfully and he wins. Even if the run isn't working you have to stick with it or the plays become too predictable and mistakes pile up. If you can build a good OL and stack on Sfla talent a spread is ideal. But without that OL it won't be any better than now.

For you oldtimers to remember and for you newbies to learn, here is Big Game Mark Richt helping Miami come from behind to beat the 'Turds back in '81 (Start it at 14:00 and yes, that is Fox Sports' Chris Myers back in his longer hair days)

You can't run much of anything with a bad OL.

Nope. But I meant that more as Sfla doesn't produce great OL to recruit consistently. We could get all the skills positions we ever needed here, but we would have to be able to go elsewhere to get OL if we really wanted the spread to work here.
