Some people regret UM leaving the Big East. The Big East is dead

Instead of taking steps to punish schools for trying to leave, it would have been better if Marinatto had built a conference that encouraged schools to stay.

Lack of vision, IMO.

Over the last 10+ years, the Big East has diminished greatly under Marinatto's leadership, and at this point I'm not sure if anyone can restore it.

I don't see San Diego State, Boise State, SMU and Houston staying in the BE for long.

Total lack of vision, I would expect for them to loose their automatic BCS bid. When the dust settle's it will a basket ball conference.
