Big day today for Manny and this program

I think you are overstating it a bit?

Even if they come out flat we have way too much talent. At the end of the day all Manny is going to do is beat a team he should beat. If they put up put up 40, 50 or 60 points don't get carried away with the win.

It won't prove anything about him. It won't show anything about him. It won't demonstrate anything about Manny except he did the bare minimum.

South Carolina State isn't an important game for Dabo today. Like almost every other team this week, this is a game to get back on track.

You’re not a Canes fan. You’re a Díaz fan. Jedi is an old G on the boards and far more intelligent than your 15-0 ***.
When Rick hired Lispy as DC I knew then we were f*cked! Because of his Miami Cuban political ties I knew it would be impossible to get rid of this guy and it sucks that I have to be right 100% of the time.

Our previous coaches and teams have not responded well in these situations over the last 20 years.

I think most people want Manny to succeed but this is an all to familiar feeling being in the position of seeing another “new” coach sink or swim. Any loss from today till we get to UNC in my mind is the final nail in the coffin of hope I am holding out for Manny to get this right.

I don’t think I’m alone either. If history is an indicator the fans who attend games will give up on Manny with another loss and that’s where the AD has to start thinking about a change. (Not saying it happens at the end of this year but no way Blake doesn’t start to update his coaches list if we lose any of the next 4)

Let’s hope for domination today and big improvement across the board.
The one thing I will say is Manny has broken some of the Omens like when we used to lose after every bye week. Last year that wasn't the case. So I am going to say that we will perform well against APP today. Our size will wear them down in the third qtr.

Lmao

I was going to games and had season tickets before either of you knew what a message board troll was.

Spare me your takes on literally anything.

After last week, a nice double digit win over a top 30-35 team is a nice way to reboot the season.

Biggest game of his career to date.

And honestly, every one the rest of the season probably would be. We all said 10-11 wins was the floor, in terms of what we’d expect. We all knew we’d lose to Bama. One game in, the season has gone as expected. So these next 2 games have to be wins, or the heat is really turned up.
10 counting the bowl ....

ESPN says we are only favored by 7.5 points?? I'm tempted to bet on that but who knows with Diaz. Is app state that well regarded?

If we lose today he shouldn’t make it to the locker room.

Does beating App State prove anything? Personally, I’m waiting until the end of the season, but I think people are entirely justified if they aren’t getting excited about beating App St and a rebuilding MSU team. Certainly just as much as people entirely excusing last week because it was bama.
Absolutely not. This is a game we should win and no excuses at all. Win is expected. A loss is code red.

Some of y’all are completely writing off the fact that App state is a solid team. They may not have the brand factor to their name but they’re in the same stratosphere as Maryland, Boston College, Pitt and Kentucky (according to rankings) which, don’t get me wrong, none of those teams are top tier or elite but they’re solid teams where if we were to beat any of them 42-7, 38-10 or whatever it would catch everyone’s attention. Just because App state isn’t a big brand doesn’t mean a convincing win isn’t impressive. They’re like 65-12 the last 5 seasons. They don’t mess around, and neither should we. Don’t get sucked into their lack of brand name because everyone who knows them knows they’re a solid team. If we come out and dominate I would take that as a VERY good sign for the rest of the way.

After we blow them out the mopes who swear this will be a close game will come on here and say, “So what. Proves nothing. It’s App state! Prove it next week against MSU!” And so on and so forth week after week until they hope we lose again then start there “I told you so!” threads. Smh
All he has to do to silence all the doubters is to win the coastal. Is this too much to ask? This is his 6th year totally controlling the defense. Time to show his leadership meant something.
