I have only been a Canes fan for 10 years, but a college football fan for a lot longer. I am not sure I have ever seen such a breathtaking turnaround.

Since the end of the season, Miami has:

- fired a not great Athletic Director. Seems to be on the verge of hiring a truly bad *** Athletic Director who will be among the highest paid in the country.

- found some real, live BILLIONAIRES to pony up real money to address real problems. This is Phil Knight / Boone Pickens level stuff right in South Florida.

- Gonna build a freaking stadium right near campus. Eliminates a huge negative. (hint: check out Baylor's new onsite 45,000 seat state of the art stadium. It has made a HUGE difference)

- Got rid of a well intentioned coach who was never up for this job. (good luck Manny!!)

- Hired a real, live bad *** coach who is a truly elite recruiter. Wait, an elite recruiter in the 305, that is going to be hard to beat. He will be among the highest paid in the country.

Finally, UM spending money like they are dead *** serious about being great in football again.

The next ten years are going to be a TON better than the last ten.

What a terrible time to start being a Canes fan but welcome to the future
 
haha, wasn't really my choice on the timing, but yeah. I can't wait to be a Cane for the NEXT ten years.

Say what you want about him, but at the very least this dude is SOLID. No more Clemson meltdowns. No more of whatever mystical brew Manny had going that would find a way to lose games we should win.

It will be great if we can be great, but after the last 10 years I will take solid.
