Big 3 recruiting vs...

Bama has one competitor in state..and even then it’s a monopoly that state..them kids go to bama factories or auburn factories in Hs..and if they are elite, they staying in state..nobody dares to really try and put resources in recruiting that state..here on the other hand, it’s a full on open enterprise. There’s so much talent up and down 95 in this state it’s truly a hotbed..biggest bag or whoever is hot has the biggest influence..no school will ever lock down this state or a fertile area. It’s more important we get the right kids and develop the **** outta them
You mean like Justyn Ross, Nico Collins, Clay Webb, and George Pickens... all in state Bama 5 Stars they recruited... they are smart and don’t drop bags in state... they drop bags on out of state studs which is what we should do. Street agents would hang us up by our nuts if one say Ridley got a bag and burgess Becker doesn’t... but the local dude don’t know nothing if we drop a bag or two for Flowe, Washington, and Smalls.

There is an interesting interview that Footballville did with Keontra Smith and Smith says that Miami recruits different. They go out of state and try to get players first and treat South Florida kids like a plan b. He said he almost didn't come bc Miami offered him so late. Different regime now but Manny was still the DC.

The Majority (By far) of our Great players were from either not from Dade, or out of state....going back a long way...Dont get me wrong, we've gotten alot of Great players from Dade throughout the yrs, but far and away the Majority weren't from Dade or Fl for that matter....

Yeah but the type of player like Keontra we have to lock down

imo the feds can't get here fast enough. The unlimited resource schools will just up the bags to pull kids no matter how good Miami gets. Mediocrity in big3 Florida football has just made it cheaper for those schools to get the players.

Smith was offered 2/16/2018. I guess that's "so late" now? Some of these kids, man...

Pretty sure Bama didn’t actively pursue Pickens because they knew he couldn’t qualify!

He talked about how he was at Paradise Camp as a freshman and how he wanted to get offered then. He said he would have shut down his recruitment like he did when we finally offered him. He basically said that we didn't over him until we struck out on other players.

Here's the interview. Already time stamped.

Yes. The real question is why Florida and FSU can’t do it right.

Alabama would never let it’s neighbors cuckold it this badly in its own back yard.

There were three 5 star players in Alabama last year. Two went to UGA and the other went to AU.

In 2018, Bama signed 1 player in the Alabama top 10.

Recruiting under Richt is different from what Manny is doing, Richt tried to recruit OOS thinking that home state players would gravitate to his “make the crib great” slogan, which isn’t a bad idea if you’re winning games, but he wasn’t, he went 7-6. And was left surprised when neither OOS players or home state players wanted to commit to this program. Manny’s approach however is strategic. He absolutely locks in on the top recruits from FL, but he’s also using Bakers pipeline with Louisiana and Texas, and Enos pipeline with Alabama. Not to mention Banda & Co. are often on the west coast. Richt had no pipelines or connection to OOS players that made any sense with the exception of Georgia. He got played by OOS recruits and spurred local talent, his fault tbh.
