Big 12?

All the money is invested in the SEC by ESPN. Doesn't matter if the ACC has a winning record against the SEC. Doesn't matter if the ACC is significantly tougher than it's perception. What matters is this is entertainment. Perception actually equates to dollars.

SECs job is to make the money. ACCs job is to get the leftovers in the market.

Most arguments about what should be will never matter until it becomes financially beneficial to the right people.

Arguments like "but they'll make so much more money doing thing X" don't matter. They're making all the money right now. All the outrage really just fuels the machine. You'll keep watching. You're emotionally invested. The circle jerk will go on forever. The schools don't care about players. The NFL didn't care about players. Most players add nothing academically to the school. They are there because they are physically capable of destroying their bodies for our entertainment.

All that is to say Mario is making an elite salary and given all the resources. He's ****ting the bed and needs to shape up or get gone.

I don't care that I lost my train of thought and no longer know what my point was. **** Mario.

FSU was snubbed because Miami and Clemson are down

The winner of the conference with a 3 headed monster on top, plus Louisville, UNC, NCST, SMU, and VT (if they can climb back) won't be left out. Null going forward anyway because there's a locked in spot for the conference champion.

The ACC needs to do whatever they can to make Miami and Clemson right the ship and keep FSU strong. The only way it survives... if anyone even wants it to survive.

I would rather go to the BIG10 myself but if this happens I wouldn't be upset about it.... whatever gets us out of the ACC deal works for me....

In reality, the ACC should have the officials “help”* Miami, FSU, and Clemson win their ACC games so that the conference gets additional revenues from big games (kick off classic, New Year’s day, playoff). But, they will ***** those same teams so that NCSt can finish 8-4…….

FSU doesn’t go undefeated in the B10, B12, PAC-10, or SEC. The ACC “TEAMS” are the reason FSU is left out and the ONLY reason FSU went undefeated in the first place.
Alabama almost lost to Arkansas and auburn

SEC extremely riding its reputation this season. Former hot girl post pregnancy still thinks it can fit in size zero

Both losses sustained by Georgia and Alabama were to teams in the CFP. Wish Miami had a bad year like that.
Meanwhile FSU put on a passing clinic in the ACC CG against a team that lost to Pitt.
Only traditional powerhouse that had a down year was Clemson who missed a 27 yard GWFG by their kicker who was out of football before that game leading to the FSU signature victory. How did Miami do vs Clemson with their Fr QB? Same exact result…. OT W.

Always thought this was a possibility. In the Big10 or sec not the conference would ever back us to be a big time player in CFB. They have there top horses in OSU-Mich and Ala-UGA. That model works and has worked for them. For whatever reason this ACC tho g is not working out for us and maybe, just maybe the Big-12 is the answer. We get access to Texas (I live in houston so makes seeing Canes easier) and a conference with no clear cut 1 football. I think the ACC is dying slowly and this parachute just might make sense.

the acc is a low tier p5 conference. it was the worst football p5 conference in the sport this year and it really wasnt close. hoepfully it just becomes a hoops conference and moves on and we can find a new football home.
Somebody didn’t watch the Big Ten

The Big East basketball fan in me is loving every moment of this. ACC raided the conference in hopes to be premier. Now it is degenerating into a basketball conference, like it has always been.

Hopefully we don't end up in the Big 12, but I'd be lying if a part of me doesn't think we will.
And, being honest and looking at our small, private school demographics, what sport to we have our best shot at a Natl Championship? Hoops or football? As every mediocre year piles up at Hard Rock, our position as a football "power" lessens in terms of our attractiveness to the B1G or SEC.

Not a fan of this. To me, this is like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. We really need to hold out for the Big 10 and not jump the gun on this.

Don't let facts get in your way.......

The ACC held a record of 6-4 against the SEC in interconference play during the 2023 regular season. That advantage included a 2-0 mark posted by Florida State, which won its games against LSU and Florida during its 13-0 season. It was 4 and 3 against the Big 10 and the only power five conference with a winning record against the other four big conferences..................
And four teams in the top 25.

Too bad Miami didn't live up to expectations again.

Maybe that's one of the reasons the ACC isn't considered a big threat in football. I'm pretty sure the ACC counted on us to be their Alabama and/or UGA of the SEC.

Thanks., I had to get a muhfucca told just yesterday about this ****. People think the ACC stinks, but what they don't realize, is that the conference is pretty tough. It's just sooo competitive. We don't have a UGA, ALA, and LSU,.... multiple schools, at the top, that beat up on errybody else in conference. The only team we've had that was thought of as being pretty good in the past 10 years, out of the ACC, would be Clemson. The "Problem" with the ACC is that week to week, anybody can get beat, by anybody else. So from the outside looking in, it makes it look like our top teams are garbage. "Man, y'all let GTech beat y'all? And y'all the same team that beat aTm?" The truth is, that our mid level teams, and bottom dwellers teams, are pretty **** solid.
This is correct. The in-conference and out of conference back it up.
