Big 10 Plan for Winter Football

Interesting article in USAToday (Greg Doyle who's rather a jerk) says don't blame Big 10 Commish as he's just the messenger. Blame the presidents who are now sitting back hiding in the weeds (crickets) and letting him take the rap as to why there's no cohesive message. If it weren't for the backlash no one would even be talking about playing in the January deep freeze.

A Commissioner has the responsibility of leading his conference in the most professional way possible.

He also has the responsibility of clearly stating a message and not using platitudes and slogans to describe decision making policies.

He has failed so miserably. The Presidents also have failed but it is his responsibility to put out fires and do damage control and he seems to be making things worse.

Problems like this go up to the top and he is the head honcho.
