Unfortunately most of 'em are Gators and Noles.

With conference schedules being inflexible already, are they proposing no more G5, DII, or SEC contests?

The math makes it really tight.

But then they form an alliance with scheduling corporations and then off that they may have inter conference games such as Miami v Ohio, Michigan v USC etc. Then they can maybe get a separate tv contract for all those games and that will be added to the money they get from their respective conference contracts.

And biggest of all these conferences vote as a bloc and in essence form a walla against the SEC aggression.
Thats how i read it so i could be wrong. Not the first time. I never got the sense they were trying to form 1, 48 team league or whatever i seen being talked about.

I also believe that a written or unwritten component is a "non-aggression pact", whereby the ACC, Pac 12 and Big 12 agree NOT to raid one another's schools for increased membership. Some serious WWI/WWII ****e.

In every ******* couple there is always one that takes dck on the down low.
Living in Miami since 1984 and trust me I’ve been balls deep in “lesbians” a few times. I tell people I’ve been with plenty of married women. But they’ve all been cheating on their wives.

Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: “I’m a ******* but I was drunk messed up and got pregnant”

The largest rival promotions of the time (Jim Crockett Promotions (NWA) and Verne Gagne’s AWA) joined forces to create Pro Wrestling USA as a firebreak to the WWF. It presented supercards and had its own television tapings.

That is a possible future of this football alliance. Can the three conferences put aside petty squabbles, past histories, and paranoia to truly work together? If they can’t, all but a handful of these programs will be going away as the remainder will become SEC affiliates.

Couple of things: Gagne went under because he ran Hogan off, and Hogan took all his people with him. Gagne still insisted on an old school product, as times were changing around him.

Crockett got hosed by Vince, due to him keeping JCP off of PPV by threatening cable companies that if they showed Starrcade, they wouldn't get WrestleMania. Eventually Turner stepped in, but by then, the damage had been done. Combine that with Crockett buying garbage territories, and NOT teaming with Bill Watts, who was the promoter that could beat Vince, and here we are. That said, nice breakdown of classic wrestling, before it got to be pure dogcrap.
 
I kind of like this plan. If the ACC can get some decent matchups moving forward they could potentially renegotiate their deal. This could make us more competitive with the B10. They would still bring in more $ but we wouldn’t be as far behind.

The ACC plays 8 conference games a year, while the Pac 12 and Big Ten play 9. So best guess would be they move to 8 conference games a year and a 1 and 1 with the other two conferences. But they are also worried about some rivalry games that are played every year as well. So it’ll be interesting to see them iron out the details in the next couple of days

They crapped in the bed and then didn't change the sheets when they refused to take two additional teams. That short-term greediness sowed the seeds of what they are reaping today.

The Big 12 (like the Texas power grid) should have "weather-proofed" themselves, made themselves too big to fail.

The "Big 12" has been a misnomer for years. They stayed at TEN teams, and now that the two best teams have left, they are stuck with 8 leftovers.

The Big 12 should have added Houston and Cincy and UCF and USF, even if it would have cut their annual payouts for a while. They would have added four large TV markets with large student bodies and large alumni bases, and they would have expanded the Big 12 footprint.

Losing Texas and Oklahoma would have ALWAYS hurt, but a 12-team leftover Big 12 would have stood a better chance of survival than the current 8-team batch of scrubs.
