BIg 10 caves.....AGAIN!

They dug their own grave. When those pompous *** puzzies came out with their schedule, they thought all the other conferences would fall in line. The ACC, SEC, and the Big12 gave them the đź–• and did things their own way. Now they want everyone else to bale them out of the predicament they created. Give them another đź–•and carry on.

I hope the ESPY's have a catagory for "Most pu$$y a$$ conference commissioner" next year.

We won't really know the longterm health risks around covid for years to come. It usually takes 5-10yrs of any new infectious disease before doctors and scientists can get enough data to really understand a disease.

Blades has myocarditis and it may end his football career if he doesn't recover enough.

Some folks are going to be more cautious and others are calling it a "hoax". So different states and football commissioners are going to have different caution levels.

Now if you were a football commissioner and your decision to play or not determines the longterm health of hundreds to thousands of athletes under your "care".... maybe the decisions aren't as easy as "they pussied out".

Makes no sense.

Then they should have stuck to their guns and not played then. Period.

That way no one could question the original sincerity of their concerns.

Instead, they decided to play anyway.

There was no new information developed in three weeks that would have changed their original concerns.

So it’s either their original concerns weren’t sincere, or they’re playing in spite of strong enough concerns to cause them to cancel - with no new information.

I hate OSU as much as anyone but they deserve to be in that championship game because they are the best team in that conference and its not even close

The Big Ten really looks like a sound decision making organization this season - been behind the 8-Ball every step of the way.

Big ten makes decision that benefits them financially? Shocking.

It’s almost blasphemous to say but I’d rather have ND get beat by Clemson and sneak in at 4 kicking out Ohio state. At least they’ve played and won some games.

Actually, it’s as close as one touchdown between them and Indiana.

Kinda agree, where I don’t agree is a conference that plays half the games of all the other conferences should not have a representative in the CFP. They didn’t earn it(no fault of their own that they have a ***** commissioner, but that is how the cookie crumbles). 1 loss A&M, Florida, and Miami(who all lost to top 5 teams) should make it over a team that is undefeated vs crap competition and played half the games. We are trying to prep these guys to be pros in the nfl, where performance dictates if a team gets to postseason play. Setting a bad precedent GIVING them a bid they didn’t earn.

But seriously-- i've been reading the liability issue that's coming up around Covid....

For example-- there might be a legal issue of kids start getting chronic debilitating illness from Covid (aka Blades)...

Now if you are the school AD or league commissioner who approves the kids playing DESPITE the CDC telling everyone "mask up and hide in your homes!!"....and if these kids end up losing their careers to a chronic Covid illness-- do they get to sue the schools and leagues later on for will-full negligence?

Every personal injury attorney is going to licking their chops...

Only confirms what we already knew.

these polls and committees are shams. They claim it’s about proving yourself on the field but clearly it’s about their preset agendas.

The CFP's worst nightmare is UF beating Alabama and Clemson mauling ND. Where does OSU fit in then?
"The NCAA and College Football are proud to announce that for this year only, the College Football Playoffs will be expanded to 6 teams. This will ensure fair entry for all deserved squads."

ACuCk commissioner won that hands down when he allowed a team to join the conference for one year instead of requiring team to join conference permanently. Then, in an attempt to outdo himself, he shortened that teams season to ensure they would not be upset — guaranteeing an ACCCG slot.

B1G did the right thing … for their conference while ACuCk commissioner’s filming has left the closet to get a better view.

Does the ND thing suck? Absolutely! Had we taken care of business, it'd be a none issue. The blame is our own. On the flip side, I will take a 10-12 game season over osu's 5, possibly 6 games.

@Zombie-Cane is correct that UM only has itself to blame for taking an L and being in a position where the ACC could shorten the season to secure it for NLame. But I still have to side with @Tetragrammaton Cane on this one.

The greatest limp-wrist, beta, power bottom, hand delivers his husband's dry cleaning to the office move of 2020 was executed months ago when the ACC gave NLame a life preserver on the 2020 season and let them in the conference without requiring them to stay for any period beyond 2020. The last time I can remember such clear bargaining power being so utterly squandered was many years ago and involved a professional dancer of the pole who needed a ride to a house a few blocks from mine after an evening of work. Like the ACC, she also got shafted.

If that was the ultimatum, ND would have said no.

You must be a horrific negotiator.
