149 consecutive weeks with a alumni scoring a touchdown in the NFL or 58 home game winning streak? Nobody put out skill players like Miami in the early 2000’s and I don’t see any team replicating that output of professional production. On the other hand, 58 home games is almost a decade without losing a single game at home which I don’t see ever happening again. I think that the 58 home game winning streak is more impressive because I think a college could produce a quarterback, a couple of solid running backs and a handful of wide receivers that could give the streak a run for its money, but going undefeated for a decade at home may never happen. What do you think? Is there another record that seems more unbreakable?

The RIP record is king. We took if from Bama and that matters. Plus, Bama’s was bogus since they have two home stadiums and lost some games in Brimingham during that run which were not counted.

I don’t think either will fall in my lifetime, but the OB was almost holy ground for football. RIP, Super Bowl lll, the Perfect Season, countless great Orange Bowl New Years games for NCs in addition to ours. How many NFL HOFers played for the Fins and the Canes in that Stadium?

What do you mean by Bama had 2 home stadiums and and they lose some which makes their streak bogus. I would love this little tidbit for when I hear a Bama fan say they have 57 in a row. Thank you.

14 year streak of having at least 1 player drafted in the first round is also very impressive.

Saban's current run is 2nd behind us, with 10 years in a row (09-18), meaning he's definitely going to break it with the talent he has there...with needing only 4 more years. Even if he retired today there's enough potential talent in the current freshman for at least 1 to be a first rounder.

UF(1983-1991) is 3rd on the list with 9.

I think we may have a record that won't be broken. I believe we have the longest streak without a tie. Miami had already gone 30 years (Tulane 10-10 in 1966) without a tie before the NCAA instituted the overtime system in 1996 to eliminate ties.

They played in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. Most of their bigger games were played in Birmingham and they loss some. I never followed other schools so I can’t help out on which ones but I have Bama blood deep in my family so I happen to know it. If I get really bored, I’ll try to search for it.

Got a little bored so I came upon Bama 1981 results. They had several game at Birmingham that year. Loss to Ga tech and tied southern miss. That was the year before their “streak” ended. It took them like 20 years to win 57 “hoke” games — those were at Tuscaloosa. It took us 9 or 10 if I remember. Theirs started in early 60’s and ended in 82. They played less games back in sixties but the big reason was they played their hard games In Birmingham. The record is cheese, our is the real deal.
