We are counting down the days here on CanesInSight until Miami kicks off the 2026-27 season at Stanford. Betting sites are starting to put the odds out for each conference.

According to BetMGM, the Miami Hurricanes are the clear-cut favorite to win the ACC. The betting site placed the Hurricanes as the No. 1 team to win the conference (-135). Sitting second in the odds behind the Hurricanes is SMU (+700).

The site also released the win totals for the ACC, as Miami is projected to win -10.5 games, which ranks as the No. 1 ACC squad. That would set up a projected ACC Championship matchup between Miami and SMU.

Other bettings sites also have the Hurricanes winning 10+ games this season, and being the winner of the conference.

Every single year, the Hurricanes always seem to slip up in one ACC game, but could this be the year they can finally get back into the ACC Championship game for the first time since 2017? We shall see, the path is there, and ACC betting odds think so too.

These odds have been out for awhile, these are the numbers I got a month ago in Vegas. I took the Canes with the over win total and the Semenholes with the under.

I tend to agree but are you saying you like the over for all of these? I like Louisville’s a lot. They should be able to get to 8-4.

 

Stanford, Wake, and BC might be a bit better. That FSU # is.. generous.

I guess in gambling terms that's what it would be.

But what I mean is, they're all going to be better than expected & will win some games that they're not "supposed"/favored to win.

The key caveat for all teams (except Miami & SMU), will be QB play. And I exclude us & SMU because we have the 2 best proven commodities at QB in the ACC, so we already know what we'll get from them.

But Clemson, LVille, VA Tech, UNC, Pitt, FSU, etc, are all big question marks on their QB play.

I think Clemson's Defense & overall roster will be good enough to carry them further than expected.

LVille will be all about their Offensive weapons & Brohm's play calling.

VA Tech will be a wildcard, but James Franklin is a coach who always gets his teams to play above their means.

 

FSU's season will be an exact replica of last year. Yes I predict they will beat SMU at home and everyone will be in a frenzy. Then they get driven in the ground like a stake by Alabama, beat up on C.Ark then lose one (or both) to Louisville and Virginia before Miami ends Norvell's career at FSU.

FSU is a Dead program.

Their Offense is going to be horrendous & their Secondary was put together with scotch tape.

They have objectively one of the bottom 3 worst rosters in the ACC.

They'll be lucky to win 5 games this year.
