Richt wants to call plays. We want an OC. Norvel calls the plays at Memphis but is given 3 plays as suggestions. He chooses from the 3. Best compromise we can hope for at this point.

I agree but his inexperience is the only reason he is a realistic candidate. No experienced qualified and coveted OC is coming her to do all the work but not call plays. Doesn't appear that Richt is going to give up play calling. There is the list of great OC's we want then there is the list OC's we can actually hire.

Experience is overrated. Hey, I know of an available OC who coached Heisman winning QBs, has a reputation as a QB whisperer, decades of experience, and even won a national championship as an OC. I'll give you 3 guesses at his name.

An "inexperienced" OC isn't going to accidentally call a run play when he meant to call a pass play because he is new to the booth and doesn't know how to work the microphone on his headset. What matters is whether the potential OC has a scheme that fits Miami's players. For some ungodly reason our fans are obsessed with re-treads. I feel like you guys would say, "No no, I dont want to bang the blonde hottie virgin, please give me the experienced old hag with a vagine that hangs loose like a wizard's sleeve."

Take a gamble on a new OC who wants to implement an innovative scheme.

I can guarantee one thing- it cant possibly be worse than what we have now.

Jeff Fisch has what, one bad season at Minnesota? That worked out really well for us. You hire a good OC, not the most experienced one.
