it's not one game. it's his whole tenure at miami + 1 game.
last time i checked UM had history...some national titles...sitting in south florida which is like the #1 place for recruits.
GTFO if you don't think someone would want to coach UM.
it isn't emotion. golden failed. show him the door and get on with it.
USC whacked kiffin at the airport. at the ****ing AIRPORT.
and they have a cloud bigger than you guys can hide behind. ncaa ****ed them in the ***...and they fired kiffen for getting blown out at asu.
sometimes you just need to act.
Who are all of these coaches who are lining up to coach at UM? Because the last two times we had an opening, we had to settle for guys who none of us wanted. You can keep living in this Polyanna world where UM is some great destination for winning multiple national titles, but coaches out there don't see it that way. Then you want to add to the charm by dropping a guy after one game? Yeah, that will have Bill Belichick getting his agent on the phone with UM.
If I'm the idiot, show me the precedent for firing a guy after one game.
start making inquiries now. if you don't want to/can't pay top dollar start looking at overachieving coordinators.
A&M. baylor. if you want defense look at msu.
i don't claim to know florida. but i feel pretty strongly that if you think golden isnt the answer there is not much point in delaying this.
That might work in Madden, but coordinators aren't taking job inquiries in the first week of September. Some knowledge of how the industry works would be helpful. Firing him now does absolutely nothing.
firing him now opens the market for next year. it tells people that miami can't tolerate losing. the entire country will be interested in who the replacement is.
you are such a wuss. keep him then. delay the whole process. i guess in week 6 coordinators might listen but they won't listen now?
or do you want to wait until after the season? lmao. tank your whole recruiting class.

"you are such a wuss"......yep, it was just a matter of time before you got frustrated with my condescending-but-correct logic and made it personal. The bottom rung of society tends to think that way. Congrats. You turned a football discussion into a middle school insult. Only on the internet.
As for the topic, which I have stuck to the whole time, there is no evidence that any recruiting classes "tank" depending on when a coach is fired. That's something that the lowest common denominator of message boards makes up as if they know something.
Still waiting for your example. With the hundreds of sports teams at all levels, there must be one AD as smart as you who has fired someone after one loss. Show me or crawl back into your hole.
fine. i'll listen. when do you fire him. and what do you gain by waiting between now and whenever.
You fire if he loses to Nebraska plain and simple , look at USC they fired Kiffin after the 5th game and they're already top 15 team

Not after the first game. KMA for now pretending like you want to have a civil conversation.

I think it depends on how we look. If we go up there and play with them the whole time and lose by three, that's not reason to fire him.

so some arbitrary time in the future when you change your mind. i guess you will evaluate it week by week? then just say that.
and non-answer on the other question of what you gain by waiting....which is what i was honestly curious about.

Yes there is Nebraska isn't a powerhouse they have a corch themselves

It's a non-answer because I owe you absolutely nothing. If you knew how to write and had the integrity to have a conversation, I could talk about it all day. But you showed your true colors. You're an internet JAG. You guys are a dime a dozen. Now leave me alone.
Hide the booze close the bars early and bring in Orgeron after Nebraska L
